Morgan realized she had let slip some confidential information and quickly covered her mouth, a mischievous smile on her face. "Hey, luscious dog, I'll let you know how I did it in a few days," she said mysteriously to Lott.
Lott, intrigued but supportive, responded, "Then I will wait and see." Despite not knowing the full details of her plan, he trusted Morgan and remained supportive.
In another part of the castle, Guinevere looked at Morgan in surprise. "What are you talking about? Your Majesty Morgan, you want me to join the Knights of the Round Table?"
Morgan, with a hint of mystery, explained, "Yes, I'm offering you a chance. If you pass, you'll be the first female knight of the Knights of the Round Table. My knight, Altria, is my favourite. If you join, you might be able to win Altria's attention."
Guinevere's eyes widened. "The stronger you are, the easier it will be to catch Altria's eye," Morgan added. "I'm not promising anything, just saying it's a possibility."
Morgan considered this a fair trade. "Since you can't convince King Leodegrance to let my sister Altria leave, isn't it normal for me to attract your daughter, Guinevere? If a monk can touch it, I can't use the old method?"
Her plan was straightforward. If Altria was in the Knights of the Round Table, then joining the Knights would be the best way for Guinevere to get closer to her. Morgan believed that if Guinevere joined her Knights of the Round Table, she would bring her father's support as well, which would mean adding one hundred and fifty knights to her forces—a perfect outcome.
Morgan knew it was unlikely that Guinevere would succeed with Altria. "It's best if you don't get it," she mused. "Segouzi said it's better to call a wife than a lover, and an affair is worse than a chase. But this is not a matter of intimacy."
Morgan smiled kindly, her intentions clear. She would guide Guinevere on how to pursue Altria, but whether she succeeded or not was entirely up to Guinevere. Morgan was detached from the outcome.
Guinevere, bewildered, asked, "But isn't the knight group only for knights?"
Morgan replied seriously, "What's wrong? Only knights typically join, but I'm not saying you can't become one. I'm offering you a chance to become an honorary member."
"Knight? Me?" Guinevere asked, stunned.
"Yes," Morgan affirmed. "If I can be a queen, why can't you be a female knight? Besides, you'll get to meet Altria every day."
Guinevere was moved by this and hesitated. "So, Your Majesty Morgan, do you support my marriage to Altria?"
Morgan's thoughts were not in support, but she responded with a diplomatic answer. "I support it in principle," she said, though she did not support it in practice.
Guinevere, seeing Morgan's kind demeanour, thought the decision must be influenced by King Lott. She believed that Morgan was only supporting her out of obligation to her husband.
"Well, thank you," Guinevere said with a smile.
"Then you'll join the Knights of the Round Table?" Morgan asked.
"Since Your Majesty Morgan said so, of course, I will not refuse," Guinevere responded enthusiastically.
"Good. Go back and talk to your father," Morgan advised, patting Guinevere lightly on the head.
"Yes, I will go now," Guinevere said, leaving to find her father.
Morgan watched her leave, saying, "Oh, this filial girl," with a satisfied look. She then returned to her room.
Upon returning, Morgan saw Lott carrying a wooden box. "Did you have a happy event today? Why the cheerful mood?" she asked.
"Hey, you'll find out in two days," Morgan replied with a mysterious smile.
Curious, Morgan asked, "What's in the box?" She reached for it, but Lott quickly moved it away.
"Don't touch it; it's dangerous," Lott warned.
Morgan, intrigued, inquired further. Lott, looking triumphant, explained, "It's a creation of the Red Bear—an RG-60TB temperature-pressure grenade. It's quite powerful."
Morgan's eyes lit up with interest. "Scary... I like it."
Elsewhere, Guinevere returned to her father, King Leodegrance, with a bright smile. Her father, puzzled by her sudden cheerfulness, asked, "What's the matter? Why are you so happy?"
"Father, pack my luggage," Guinevere said excitedly.
"Pack your bags? What are you planning to do?" King Leodegrance asked, confused by his daughter's sudden request.
Guinevere was eager to explain, her excitement evident.
