Claire stared at Ethan with a half-confused, half-amazed expression as the man in front of her smiled broadly.
A friendly and exotic impression radiated clearly from Ethan's face, which was now darker than before when they were still in Etrill.
"You... why did your skin change color like that?" Claire asked, squinting as she observed Ethan's changes.
Ethan chuckled, his expression growing more cheerful.
"Oh, this? I darkened it on purpose. Doesn't it look better?" he said as he raised his hand to show the changes in his skin.
Claire silently stared at him, admitting in her heart that this skin color actually made Ethan look more charismatic and attractive. His messy brown hair, warm brown eyes, and a firm face with a soft gaze—all seemed to radiate something warm and exotic at the same time.
"How about I try darkening my skin too?" Claire muttered, unconsciously saying it out loud.
