Chapter 7 - Remember

As everything was black all around Gun, then abruptly and unexpectedly. A torrent of memories rushed into his mind, almost like a dam bursting. He caught glimpses of a life that he had never experienced yet nevertheless knew very well. In front of him, Leon Nightsword's life unfolded—every brutal choice, every strategic action, every moment of cold ambition. As though he were experiencing the memories firsthand, they were intense and real.

Leon's experiences were so overwhelming to Gun, to the point that his mind was reeling from the torrent of memories he received. He sensed Leon's unwavering determination, his readiness to go to any lengths to accomplish his objectives, and the icy distance that characterized his life. These recollections blended with his own disjointed memories to form a whirlpool of self, he almost lost himself, luckily his sense of self was pretty strong.

The scenes grew more distinct. Born the bastard son of a high noble family, Leon had to deal with a difficult and neglected upbringing under the shadow of his father's castle. He practiced in secret away from his half-brother's eyes, studying strategy and improving his swordsmanship. Leon's ascent to power started when he joined a group of mercenaries and swiftly rose to the position of commander thanks to his strategic acumen and merciless efficiency, he managed to turn a small mercenary band to a massive mercenary company gaining the epithet of Blood Sovereign.

Gun witnessed the coup against his father and brother's, which marked a turning point in Leon's life. Leon overthrew his household and brutally asserted his birthright by storming the castle with his men. Ambition, sword skills, and strategic acumen characterized his reign, which made him a respected and feared leader.

The recollections transported him to the enigmatic cave tucked away in an empire-sized forest. There were rumors and a mystery surrounding Leon's demise.

It was in this cave that Leon met his demise, far from the castle he fought to claim.

Gun was overtaken by the rush of memories, but a deep clarity surfaced amid the confusion. In addition to being Leon, the ruthless individual, he was also Gun, the reincarnated spirit currently residing in Leon's 13-year-old body. His new reality was the duality of his existence.

Gun opened his eyes as he emerged from the shadows, a chilling resolve taking hold of them. He exhaled slowly and deliberately as he stood there, still holding onto the neon green ball.

He whispered to himself, "Leon... You were a relentless force," "Driven by power, unyielding, and willing to cross any line." He hesitated, weighing the significance of those words and the memories they evoked. "I now possess your ambition. I am fueled by your cold fire."

Gun's voice hardened, matching the steel in his gaze. "But I will find my own path, Leon. One that merges your ruthlessness with the remnants of my old self. Together, we are unstoppable."

Gun, now infused with Leon's memories, made his way back through the winding paths of the vast cave. His living quarters, nestled deep within the mountain, offered a sanctuary from the turmoil outside. The air was cool and damp, the walls of the cave glistening with moisture.

Gun arrived at his quarters and got to work. He skillfully sliced the flesh into chunks from the beast he had killed. A calmness swept over him as the meat sizzled and the fire flared. The scent permeated the cave, offering a reassuring diversion from the jumble of his mind.

When the dinner was prepared, Gun enjoyed the substantial meal while gradually regaining his vigor. The neon green beast core, he had previously recovered, was his real concern. He felt the throbbing force in it as he held it in his hand.

Seating himself in a meditative position, Gun began the intricate process of absorbing the beast core's power. He channeled the energy into his body, guiding it through his meridians with precision. The process was arduous and required immense concentration, but after a few hours he managed to succeed in drawing out all of its power, the orb turning to dust Gun then said.

"System convert everything I absorbed from the beast core in to the speed attribute."

[Congratulation's User has successfully converted the beast core of the korneca aranelupo to 4 speed attribute stat's your current attributes are]

{Attribute's:

Strength: 3 (+15)

Speed: 7.45 (+15)

Agility: 1.95 (+15)

Durability: 2.25 (+15)

Endurance: 3 (+15)

Stamina: 6 (+15)

Vitality: 1.95

Intelligence: 2.3}

"The system chose not to include my locked attribute, I guess it's not important anyway. But I have been wondering. Leon when he took over his father county, he was 25 and not 13 plus the memories of his death are disjointed and not from his perspective.

But this begs the question if not from Leon perspective then who was it and why did the system show me these memories that don't belong to him. The system said I received memories of the body I'm currently inhabiting. Emphasis on the 'currently' I feel like this is somehow related to my race, but I'm not quite sure.

Although, thanks to his memories, I now know what this world is like and how it's mapped out. Firstly, I should attempt to go to the east of this forest and cross over to the empire of Walfresia. The border on the side of the forest is laxed compared to the other countries, bordering this forest. The Walfresian empire is currently crusading against the Sofrinian tribe confideration. Due to that, the security around the forest border is much more relaxed. I should be able to slip right in when they are not looking or are lazing around the job.

The only real issue is the magic detection that they have on the gate, I should be able to circumvent it if a cause a distraction. And by distraction, I should cause a realm 5 beast to destroy a part of the wall this would usually lead to someone from the fifth realm or above investigating but everyone from the 5 the realm and above is currently crusading, and it's going to take at least three days before they come back from the crusade to check what is happening.

Then, using this to distract the magic detection system, all I have to do is choose a guard that is far off and sneak in the border.

The reason why this plan could work is cause the magic detection system span's for the entirety of the border. Because they don't have multiple Mana crystal's only two rank 2's one for the detection the other defence if the detection crystal is compromised. The Magic detection will stop working. And due to the nature of the Mana crystal being only Ranked 2 the mere unrestrained presence of someone from the fifth realm will destroy it.

Also, usually beast's from the 3rd realm and up don't attack human's because they aren't seen as a food source due to how big the beast gets with each realm. Now this leaves only one way for me to lure the beast in. To steal an egg or its young kill and destroy it and let the beast go on a rampage after it sees what happened to its young, it should go on a rampage."

"Now first before I act on this plan I should go close to the border and scout potential beast's."
