"Frogadier, it's up to you."
Kaizo threw out his luxury ball. Frogadier knelt down on one knee, with one hand on the ground, and appeared in a handsome pose.
"Machamp, take advantage of this, and use Thunder punch."
Brawly also knew that Machamp was very weak, so he had to defeat Frogadier as soon as possible.
"Frogadier use Hydro pump on the whole battlefield, don't give him any chance to escape."
Frogadier immediately stood up, and released a strong high pressured water jet that spread all over the battlefield. Even if Machamp wanted to hide or take cover, he couldn't do so because there was no way to hide and was sent flying.
In just one move, Machamp was incapcitated. After all, his previous injury was pretty serious, so naturally it was not the opponent of Frogadier.
"Machamp is incapacitated, Frogadier wins the battle. Gym Leader Brawly has lost the match. The winner of this Gym battle is Kaizo from Littleroot Town."
"Machamp return."
Brawly didn't feel too down because of his loss. A Gym Leader's job is to determine the strength of trainers and tell them about their shortcomings. Winning or losing doesn't really matter to them.
"Thank you Frogadier."
Kaizo returned his Frogadier, wondering when his Frogadier would evolve. Once his Frogadier evolves into Greninja, he could then be regarded as a pokemon for his main Team.
"Challenger, take this Knuckle Badge as a proof of your Victory against the Dewford Gym."
"Thank you."
Kaizo took the badge and put it in his Gym Badge box. Now it's time for him to go get the next badge. The next gym is in Mauville city, but before going there, he has to go to Slateport City.
The Pokemon egg hatching solution he ordered will be delivered in the pokemon center. He wants to get it as soon as possible, and incubate Jirachi successfully, so that he could have a pokemon stronger than an Elite level as soon as possible.
The strength of Mythical or Legendary pokemon is really strong. As for them always getting beaten in the anime. This is nothing more than a joke.
Even if their racial stats are shown as the same as Pseudo-legendary pokemons,their strength is far more stronger. This is also due to their high potential and talent.

In the late Pleistocene and early Holocene, a period known to laymen as the dawn of mankind, Charmander abounded in a desert east of Fuschia city. They used their flames to hunt bug and grass pokemon and were as abundant in this land as Zubat and Tentacool are in theirs, and dug surprisingly sturdy burrows to protect themselves during infrequent rainstorms.
It was climate change that did them in. Kanto is far wetter than it once was, and those few Charmander who tried to adapt to growing forests failed: leaves were a poor shield and there were no forests in Kanto with a thick enough canopy to prevent rainfall. In Kanto's Warring States' Era, the last patch of desert was converted into pasture by a local warlord and the wild Charmander became extinct.
Not all was lost, however, for man is a species which builds shelters and loves fire, and before they learned to rub sticks together they domesticated the Charmander, both for its valuable flames and its role in eating disease-carrying insects. In modern times they are still a fairly common household pet, although never as numerous as they were before the invention of the matchbox.
