Kaizo didn't want to waste time. There are more pokemon on the opposite side, take the opportunity and defeat them quicky. This is the kingly way. He's now glad, that he kept the strongest Relicanth.
But he also regrets it, if he had kept the other relicanths too, he could have swept the other party directly.

Capital Brodie gave an order, making the other members retreat along with their pokemon, ready to besiege kaizo.
"Torchic you deal with those Numels. May get your aron out, froakie, you deal with those Houndoom and Houndour with water pulse and double team."
Kaizo quicky assigned opponents for his pokemon. Torchic does not have a type advantage, so he can only deal with those weaker numels.
Froakie has an advantage in type, which is just right to deal with the Houndoom line. Even if there is a gap in strength, his froakie which has been trained by him using the best pokeblocks can withstand for a while.
"Okay, aron, come out." When Aron came out, may was a little flustered, not even knowing which skills Aron would have.
"This.. aron, go land a helping hand to froakie, use whatever skill you want."

Camerupt and torkoal were slammed into the rocks head on. On the other side, Houndoom with his quick speed arrived near Relicanth and bit it with electricity flowing through it's teeth. Relicanth let out a whimper, but with his strength as an Quasi-Elite pokemon, he held on.
Fortunately kaizo has the power of Viridian, which allowed Relicanth to be healed. He glared at the Houndoom and released a huge jet of water at the Houndoom.
A hydro pump from a Quasi-Elite pokemon, with double restraint, the Houndoom wailed and fell to the ground incapcitated.
"How is this possible? How can you have a Quasi-Elite pokemon at your age?"
Captain Brodie couldn't believe it. He thought it was only at Superior level at most, with his Houndoom's thunder fang, he should be able to kill it in seconds. If he knew that it was at Quasi-Elite level, he definitely wouldn't have been so impulsive.
Well now, he gave Houndoom for free.
Torkoal and Camerupt were both slowed by the rocks, taking damage. On the other hand, torchic was no match at all for the large number of numels.
Even a talented pokemon can't beat so many pokemon. Torchic was knocked over by a numel, and let out a scream.
"Torchic, are you all right?"

Captain Brodie was face was ugly. It would be great if his pokemon could learn Earthquake. Unfortunately, his pokemons talent are too poor, and he has not been able to learn Earthquake, and can use only fire skills. Fortunately these fire type attacks can still cause damage to lairon. Otherwise Captain Brodie would probably cry amd shout at the heavens for it's unfairness.
