Andy smiled affectionately at her as she tried to move away, avoiding him. He didn't want to scare her, so he remained calm and stilled with apparent friendly gestures.
Despite his efforts to meet her again, she always politely declined, claiming she was busy and rarely stayed in the city. To make matters worse, whenever he heard she was returning to the capital, he had to fly off to another town or abroad for imperative business trips.
So, when he finally learned that they would both be in the city at the same time, he made excuses to revise the design of his house, not because it was necessary but to create an opportunity to meet her again. He felt stupid for doing so but didn't have a choice. The heart wants what the heart wants.
"Thank you for your help, Abigail. I appreciate you coming here to meet me," he said.
