Sawyer's voice trailed off when he noticed her eyes narrowing and her beautiful eyebrows slightly raised, clearly showing her annoyance.
"Abby, my dear, why did you give me that look? You should be proud that you are the reason I'm falling in love again, right?"
"I do, and I'm proud and glad to hear that. Thank you, Sawyer…" Abigail smiled as she turned to face him, wanting to look into his eyes. "But I'm just curious—do you still have any feelings left for her?"
Sawyer frowned.
Noticing the change in his expression, Abigail quickly added, "I mean, she is your childhood sweetheart—your first love, or at least your first crush. Moreover, she has princess-like beauty, a glamorous and hotshot acting career, and comes from a wealthy, old-money family. And then there's me; I'm completely different from her—"
