After their conversation about Abigail's ex-fiancé, Rosa felt terrible for making Abigail appear sad and angry.
"Ugh, sorry, dear. I won't talk about him anymore. He's not worth discussing!"
"Thank you, Aunty Rosa…" Abigail smiled awkwardly. She wasn't sure how to react and started to worry that Sawyer might feel jealous or uncomfortable if they talked about Ryland—he was standing nearby but could still hear their conversation.
"Oh, right, dear… I wanted to let you know about the CCTV footage you requested. I've already asked my friend at the hospital to give you access to it. However, they cannot allow you to see it."
Abigail silently took a deep breath. Even though she had anticipated their refusal, she was still disappointed to hear it confirmed.
