"Since we're friends and Silverstone Group is my firm's main client, I won't charge you that much; I'll give you a rate of $5,000 per hour. How does that sound?"
It took a moment for Andy Bennet to respond.
"You don't want to?" Rowan asked when he saw Andy lost in thought. He knew Andy must be shocked by his fee. "Fine! I will tell my client you refused—"
"I didn't say I refused, Rowan!" Andy hurriedly protested.
"So you agree?"
"Can you only charge me $4,000...?" Andy asked.
Rowan inwardly laughed at his words. "Hmmm. Deal!" he said, extending his hand to seal the deal.
He hadn't intended to charge that much, but Sawyer had instructed him to do so. He felt he had no choice but to comply with Sawyer's request, even though he planned to give Andy a discount.
