After calming his anger, Sawyer gently answered, "Yes, I remember you mentioned your landlord. What agreement did he specify in the contract?" Sawyer deliberately asked again, pretending not to know.
"Well, there isn't a written agreement. But Mr. Peters verbally asked me to clean his house occasionally so that when he moves back in, it's as clean as when I first came here. Even though I want to ignore it because I'm exhausted, I feel like I can't because I promised him."
"That Mr. Peters is too much. How dare he expect you to keep that promise?" Sawyer gritted his teeth, trying to hold back his anger.
Abigail let out a silent, deep sigh, hearing Sawyer's frustration.
"Abby, do you want me to talk to him? I could offer him a new deal. Or... would you like me to buy the entire house? That way, you can stay there as long as you like and don't have to clean the house for him."
