A few times, Sophie asks Abigail to let her out of the nursing home and rent a small studio apartment. Still, Abigail refuses because she is concerned about Sophie's health.
"Granny, I already have a job that pays decent," Abigail says. She doesn't want to discuss her new job at the cafe in detail, fearing it might shock her grandmother.
With a reassuring smile, she adds, "And I also have a new place to live." She wants to ease Grandma's worries.
"Abby, let me live with you. There's no need to spend so much money on this place. I can't let you work too hard to pay for my nursing home when I can live with you. It's too much for you. It's not your responsibility to take care of me," Sophie sincerely expresses her feelings.
