Inside the room…
Ava stepped in cautiously. Her gaze immediately landed on Dylan, propped up by a nurse who was gently arranging a pillow behind his back.
"Don't move on your own," the nurse instructed firmly. "You could tear the stitches. If you need to shift or get out of bed, call for assistance first."
Dylan offered a faint nod, his expression strained. "Thanks, I'll keep that in mind," he replied, wincing as he slowly tried to adjust his leg.
The sluggish movement made Ava's chest tighten. The doctor's words turned out to be true. The injury had affected Dylan's leg movement.
"Don't push yourself," the nurse warned again. "The damage isn't as severe as we feared, but you need to rest and avoid unnecessary strain. The doctor will provide more details later."
She smiled at him and then turned to Ava. "Please ensure he doesn't move around on his own. Use the call button if you need assistance." With that, she left.
