Ava's struggles grew frantic with each passing second. Her body was alive with panic, every muscle straining. Her hands clawed at his face and arms, her legs kicking, but nothing she did seemed to have any effect. He was like stone, impervious to her struggles.
Her blouse tore with a brutal jerk. The revulsion in her gut rose like bile as the man lowered his head to kiss her. She shot her hands up, pushing against his face with every ounce of strength she could muster.
Her defiance irked him, and he lost his patience. He slapped her with the back of his hand. The force of the blow sent her reeling, her body crashing hard to the floor. A sharp gasp escaped her lips, pain radiating through her head.
