Cornered, Gianna's gaze darted frantically around the room, her expression wild. She still wouldn't accept it. "I didn't know she was in there!" she cried. "This is a misunderstanding!"
"Don't lie," Ava barked. "You were captured in the surveillance camera coming to the restroom after me. But you didn't enter. Instead, you locked the room and fled. You wanted me gone." She squared her shoulders as she looked toward the policemen. "Officer, take her away."
As the policemen approached her, Gianna cried out frantically, grabbing Dylan's hand. "Dylan, please save me."
Dylan pulled his hand away.
"I made mistakes, yes, but only because I love you," Gianna continued, tears streaming down her cheeks.
But Dylan's gaze was as hard as stone, unmoved by her tearful confession. "Take her away." He signaled the policemen with a nod.
