Jonathan suddenly stepped forward and stood beside Eclipse Rocelyn, his sharp gaze fixed on the teacher who'd been scolding her.
His voice was cold and condemning.
"Because she was the top scorer in the entire country and got into Star University with the highest score!" he declared, the room growing still.
The effect was immediate, like a bomb had just exploded in the middle of the faculty room.
Every teacher turned, their eyes widening as they stared at Jonathan and then at Eclipse.
They couldn't believe what they were hearing.
"If you don't believe me, Principal, call the Education Bureau and verify it," Jonathan added with certainty.
He had come in second place in that year's college entrance exams, and he'd never forgotten Eclipse's name as the one who'd scored above him.
