The parent looked Jessica directly in the eye, their gaze piercing. "If you defend Jessica so much, then I'm sure she's a good-hearted person. She should know her place and not covet what's not hers. For the sake of your future, Jessica, and for the peace of your family, you should agree to Eclipse's proposal."
Another student quickly jumped in, their voice firm. "Of course, Jessica is a model student and a world-renowned perfumer. She's independent, and she doesn't need to compete with Eclipse for anything. She even gave up the man she loved for her! There's no way she would lose her dignity for the Rocelyn Group's property. Without it, Jessica will live better than Eclipse ever will!"
The parent just sneered again, unimpressed by their defense.
The other students glared at Eclipse, their eyes filled with anger and resentment.
