For the first time since their encounter began, Shiro's calm façade shattered. He could feel his heart pounding in his chest, and a fire that had long been suppressed erupted from within him. The smirk that had always played on his lips disappeared, replaced with pure, unbridled fury.
Shiro's voice exploded across the rooftop, echoing off the surrounding buildings. "Ronen, I'm done with this shit!" His eyes blazed with a fury unlike anything Ronen had seen before. "You die today!"
His once calm demeanor was gone, replaced by something darker, more dangerous. Shiro's eyes began to glow intensely, a deep, searing light that seemed to burn with the promise of vengeance.
Ronen's grin widened, but there was a flicker of hesitation in his red eyes. "Finally taking me seriously, huh?"
Without warning, Ronen launched himself forward, closing the gap between them in an instant. His blade gleamed in the pale moonlight as he aimed for Shiro's chest, but Shiro wasn't backing down. He raised his hand, using his signature ability—an immobilizing conjure meant to lock Ronen in place.
For a brief moment, everything froze. Ronen's momentum halted, and Shiro's eyes narrowed as he prepared to end this once and for all. But then, just as quickly, Ronen's eyes glowed crimson, and with a burst of energy, his conjure negated Shiro's, shattering the immobilization.
The force of the negation hit Shiro like a truck, knocking the wind out of him and sending him stumbling back. Before he could recover, Ronen was already in front of him, moving faster than ever before. Shiro threw a kick, aiming to connect with Ronen's side, but in a flash of light, Ronen vanished.
Shiro's heart skipped a beat as he realized Ronen had flash-stepped behind him, moving at a speed so fast it was almost impossible to track.
"Too slow," Ronen whispered, his voice dripping with malice.
Shiro felt something wet and warm at the corner of his mouth. His hand instinctively flew to his lips, wiping away the blood that had begun to trickle out. His breath hitched in his throat as he looked down at his chest.
Ronen's blade was sticking through it.
The cold steel pierced through his body, and the searing pain that followed was unlike anything Shiro had ever felt. For a moment, the world slowed, his vision blurring as he struggled to process what had just happened.
Ronen twisted the blade, grinning as Shiro gasped for breath, blood spilling from his mouth. "I told you, Shiro," Ronen whispered. "You're not invincible."
With a brutal yank, Ronen pulled the sword free, the sound of tearing flesh echoing in Shiro's ears. Shiro staggered, but before he could regain his footing, Ronen was already moving again, a flurry of slashes and dashes that Shiro couldn't keep up with.
Each time Ronen appeared, his blade cut deeper into Shiro's flesh. His body jerked with every hit, blood spraying across the rooftop as Ronen relentlessly attacked. The once-pristine rooftop was quickly becoming a scene of carnage, splattered with crimson as Shiro's body was sliced apart by Ronen's ruthless assault.
Shiro's legs gave out, and he fell to one knee, his body trembling from the pain and blood loss. He tried to stand, but Ronen was already there, his eyes glowing with triumph.
"You never stood a chance," Ronen spat, his voice full of disdain.
With one final move, Ronen's blade pierced through Shiro's heart. The world seemed to stop in that instant, Shiro's eyes wide with shock as the pain surged through his chest. He could feel the life draining out of him, his once-glowing eyes dimming as the darkness closed in.
Ronen twisted the blade once more for good measure, ensuring the kill before stepping back and watching as Shiro's body crumpled to the ground.
The fight was over.
