Saebi glances over at him, noticing his disgruntled expression. "You really seem to hate children, huh?" she says teasingly. Jongseob lets out a frustrated sigh. "Yes, I do. They're noisy, messy, and incredibly annoying," he says bluntly."Seems like you'll have to get used to them then," she says with a small giggle. "But don't worry, I'm a great child- bearer." She finishes, a small hint of pride in her voice. "Great to know," He says, walking into the shared dorm the had. "Cause I would probably beat them up if they were annoying me." Saebi smiles. "You aren't really what I thought you would be, Jongseob." "What do you mean by that?" Jongseob asks, slightly caught off guard. He had always been known for his brooding, no-nonsense attitude at the headquarters, so he's surprised that Saebi perceives him differently. "I mean," Saebi struggles to find the words. "You're a lot funnier than I thought a serious, high-ranked person in this building would be.""Maybe 'cause I'm not an old man like everyone else here," Jeongsob grumbles, taking off his jacket. She watches him take off his jacket, her eyes lingering on his muscular physique before she quickly averts her gaze, a bit flustered.Saebi laughs lightly, looking away from him. "Well, that's true. Most of the higher-ups here are old and probably have no sense of humor." "Still," Saebi says, clearing her throat, "I didn't expect you to dislike children so much. I thought you'd at least tolerate them, being an agent and all." "Not exactly," he says with a chuckle. "I can handle my anger, but god, they just annoy me...""I think I can tell," Saebi says.
Jongseob rolls his eyes at her teasing tone. He walks over to his side of the room and begins packing his belongings.
"And what about you? You seem to love kids," he says, looking over at her.
"Of course I do!" Saebi gleams, sunlight basically radiating off her as she continues. "They're just the cutest little things, like little mandu!" Jongseob gave a small chortle at her reply, finding her point of view interesting. Almost…cute in some way?
No, what am I thinking?
"You're really passionate about kids, huh?" Jongseob teases after she talks a bit more about her love for kids, a hint of amusement in his voice.
He watches her for a moment, taking in her smile and the way her eyes light up when talking about children. For a moment, he forgets about being grumpy and irritated. Saebi nods, still smiling. "Sorry, I must be talking too much." Jongseob shakes his head. "No, it's fine," he says, zipping his navy blue suitcase up. "You should probably finish packing though." Saebi looks at her empty suitcase, letting out an embarrassed giggle. "I guess so,"
Saebi continues talking as she packs, and Jongseob just sits there with his back leans against the wall, liking the sound of her soft voice.
Wait, what?
