The black envelope lay open on the table, its single message still haunting Liam's mind.
"You've been found."
His fingers hovered over the note, tracing the rough edges of the paper. The words felt like a threat—like someone had been watching him all this time.
But who?
And why now?
Liam clenched his jaw, forcing himself to push aside the fear creeping into his chest. He had no answers, only one lead—the call from last night.
"Song Café."
Whoever wanted to meet him was waiting.
And if he wanted to get out of this miserable, dead-end life, he had to find out what was going on.
2:00 PM – Song Café
The café was a quiet little place tucked between towering buildings, its soft jazz music blending with the hum of the city outside. Liam pushed open the glass door, scanning the room.
His clothes were slightly wrinkled from the restless night before, and his mind still felt hazy, but he forced himself to stay alert.
He didn't know who he was looking for.
Then, he saw him.
A man sat alone in the corner, wearing a sleek black suit. He wasn't drinking anything, just staring at the empty table in front of him. His presence was sharp, commanding—like someone who was used to being in control.
Liam hesitated for a moment before walking over.
Before he could say a word, the man spoke.
"You came."
His voice was deep, smooth, yet laced with something unreadable.
Liam pulled out the chair across from him and sat down, keeping his expression blank. "Who are you?"
The man studied him for a moment, then smirked.
"Someone who sees potential in you."
Liam narrowed his eyes. "Potential? In what?"
The man leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table.
"Tell me, Liam… do you want to change your life?"
Liam's breath hitched for a second.
For years, he had dreamed of breaking free from his miserable existence, of finding a way out of this cycle of failure and disappointment.
But was this man offering him that chance?
Or was this just another cruel trick of fate?
Liam swallowed hard, his fists clenching under the table.
"What do you want from me?"
The man smiled.
"To make you a star."
