After leaving the soldiers' mangled bodies, I left the building using the teleportation circle.
I opened my eyes after feeling the pleasant sensation of being teleported, I appeared in the hidden area of the armory.
To my surprise, Alek was still here with Ileana.
"I thought you had already left this place," I said in disbelief.
Alek looked at me worriedly and pointed to Ileana who was now asleep in his arms.
"She wanted to wait for you," Alek whispered.
oh man, this is sad...
Ileana woke up and immediately jumped into my arms, hugging me tightly.
I exchanged glances with Alek knowing the meaning of this.
"We have to go now," I told Alek.
He nodded and we went up the stairs and left the armory.
Beforehand I told Ileana to remain completely silent.
She nodded and hugged me tightly.
Poor girl...and to think that they had her locked up in this place...
We left the place without many inconveniences and slipped towards the outskirts of the "castle."
When we were a few blocks away we stopped being serious and started walking normally to the inn.
"Let's spend the night here; it's very cold for her," I told Alek as we approached the inn.
He nodded and we went up to our room.
I ordered food and water for Ileana.
the poor girl gorged herself with food
The scene made me sad and made my blood boil as I remembered the merciless acts to which this poor girl had been subjected.
After filling herself with food Ileana fell fast asleep.
Seeing the poor girl's totally relaxed and sleeping face made me feel comforted.
It was the same feeling I felt with Lara.
I covered her with a blanket so she wouldn't catch a cold and decided to talk to Alek.
He was already lying on his bed but had a thoughtful expression.
"What do you think?" I asked him as I sat in the chair in the room.
-....before you and Mr. Orsted defeated me I was a complete idiot...- Alek murmured
-...- I did not respond since I did not know that side of you.
It's like meeting a person who has already completely matured and is ashamed of his past as an idiotic teenager.
-Before you, I believed that being a hero was being recognized, being famous and stuff- Alek murmured as he looked at the ceiling of the inn.
-...but now that I see you...saving this poor girl without expecting anything in return...just the look of gratitude that this girl gave you...- Alek murmured while looking at me
I looked at it the same way.
"A selfless hero," Alek finally said as he looked me in the eyes.
"I don't consider myself a hero or anything like that, I just do what I consider right," I told him with a smile.
"That's what makes you a true hero sir," Alek said with a smile.
I just smiled back at him and we fell silent again.
..
-Sir, you remember what those guys mentioned, right? That Ileana's power is to bring people back from the dead- Alek muttered
-Yes...and according to reports his power was to summon magical beasts...it seems we were fooled again, right?- I muttered with a smile
-Yes...but also this girl's knowledge of magic circles is exceptional and extremely precise for her young age...- Alek murmured while looking at Ileana
-....let's just leave it as another of his powers, okay?...or maybe...his knowledge of summoning circles is his power..- I murmured as an idea came to my mind Alek instantly got the idea and looked at Ileana who was lying sleeping.
-And if that knowledge about summoning circles is manipulated by evil beings...this girl was probably manipulated by Nolan and his group to make summoning circles with dangerous creatures- Alek murmured
-Probably...but that doesn't explain why those guys mentioned the power to bring the dead back to life- I muttered
-... it's probably something we'll want to ask him once he wakes up- Alek said and settled into his bed to sleep
-Yes, you're right- I answered and settled into my bed next to Ileana.
The girl, feeling me, hugged me tightly and used my arm as a pillow to fall asleep again.
I hugged her and stroked her head until I fell asleep.
..
I woke up early in the morning and was bewildered to hear a lot of commotion outside.
I got out of bed slowly without waking Ileana.
I looked out the window and saw a total of 20 soldiers approaching the inn and behind them was the king's advisor.
Oh shit! You should have already realized what happened.
Oh well, I guess it can't be helped.
I woke Alek up and explained the situation to him.
We decided to avoid a direct confrontation so we climbed out of one of the inn's windows and ran into the woods.
Ileana didn't react to this but I could see that she was more relaxed when she saw that we were moving away from the "castle"
-where are we going?...-Ileana asked while she hugged me tightly
-We will leave this disgusting kingdom, we will go to the city of Sharia, there you will be safe- I told him with a smile
We walked through the forest for about three hours until we were near the ruins where the teleportation circle was.
To my surprise the same guards that were crowding the inn were now at the entrance of the ruins and looked on guard, behind them was the guy Bruce with a tense look and at the same time with anger
-Alek, come closer and ask why they are blocking the way. If they get violent, just finish them off- I whispered in his ear.
Ileana was shaking with fear as she hugged me tightly.
-P-please...d-don't let them take me- she whispered in fear as she began to cry.
I stroked her head slowly while hugging her
-I swear on my life that I will not let them take you- I said with a smile and she visibly relaxed.
I looked at Alek and he was approaching the ruins with a friendly expression.
When the guards noticed this they immediately stood on guard, unsheathing their swords.
-You! What are you doing here?! Identify yourself!!- one of the guards shouted
Alek smiled at them and greeted them.
-Hello! I'm an employee of the Orsted Corp, I just returned from a meeting with the king and I was just taking a shortcut to get back to Asura faster- Alek said
-Liar!! You're one of those guys who came to look for the Miko!!- Bruce shouted behind the guards
-hmmm that's true, but you proved to me that she wasn't here, so why are you pointing your guns at me?- Alek asked feigning ignorance
-Don't play dumb! Everyone here knows about the summoning circle and about that bitch!! Tell the truth if you don't want to die!!!- the counselor shouted
-Oh?...really? Or else what?...- Alek muttered as he unsheathed Kajakut
One of the guards recognized the sword and immediately froze in fear.
-to-ah!!!....ah!...The North God!!- the guard screamed in total terror
Bruce opened his eyes in shock and the other guards began to tremble.
-Oh? It seems that I am still known, so you know what will happen if you get in my way, right? And in the impossible case that you defeat me, my partner is much stronger than me, So I suggest you use your heads and let us pass- Alek said with a smile but as they got into combat position
The guards trembled with terror and one or another peed on themselves.
Bruce looked at Alek with anger but suddenly let out a macabre smile
-Heh! I guess it can't be helped, huh?- Bruce said as he pulled a paper out of his robes.
-I waited a long time to use this, Nolan was right...- Bruce said as he spread the paper
I used my clairvoyant eye to see the content of the paper, although I did not recognize the drawing, I could see what it referred to.
-Alek!!, it's a spirit of light!!- I shouted from the forest
Alek visibly tensed and began to run towards Bruce, pushing the soldiers out of his way.
When Alek was about to reach Bruce, he summoned a spirit of light
But fortunately Alek landed a direct hit on both the spirit and Bruce.
The spirit dissipated with a "puff" and Bruce's upper half fell to the ground with a thud.
The soldiers just stood there watching, not daring to do anything, and some are already fleeing.
I ran to Alek to see if he was okay and to my surprise he was.
Bruce looked at us with his eyes wide open and his mouth opened and closed like a fish out of water.
I half healed Bruce if you're wondering what I mean because it only regenerates his stomach but I stopped there
Leave the guy without legs and without balls
Bruce took a gulp of air as he coughed up blood.
It was time to question him.
