"He went to his studio to wear the iron suit; you can wait here," said Wolverine, gesturing toward the stairs behind him.

Obadiah squinted and gave a direct order:

"Kill him, then go downstairs and bring Tony up."

"Understood, boss!"

The leading mercenary raised his weapon and fired a shot straight at Wolverine's forehead.

"Bang!"

The bullet hit Wolverine's forehead with precision, but the next scene left everyone in shock.

The bullet did not kill the man before them; instead, it was forced out of his forehead.

"Damn, today's youth really has no patience at all."

Setting his drink down on the table, Wolverine's claws sprang forth from his hands. He crossed them over his chest and charged into the mercenaries, braving a hail of bullets.

Prioritizing the leader, he ignored the mercenaries' attacks and leaped in front of Obadiah, thrusting his claws into his chest for a swift and deadly strike.

At that moment, Tony emerged from the studio below, fully donned in his iron suit, ready to join the fight.

"Not good, there are gunshots!"

As Coulson arrived at the mansion's entrance, he heard the fierce sounds of gunfire from within and quickly drew his weapon as he exited the vehicle.

"Wait for me here and don't run off; I'm going in to check things out."

After instructing Pepper and George, he rushed into the mansion as fast as he could.

"Tony!"

Pepper's heart sank as she saw the bodyguards lying in pools of blood at the entrance, her face instantly reflecting her fear.

She quickly turned to George.

"Mr. George, please save Tony."

She knew that if the enemy could breach the mansion's defenses, it wouldn't be something Coulson could handle alone.

Only George, the magician who could bend bullets, had the power to save Tony.

"Don't worry; Tony isn't the weak playboy he once was."

However, George's expression showed no concern.

Pepper was unaware that Tony had created the Mark suit, which made it impossible for ordinary people to challenge him.

Additionally, Wolverine at his peak was still by Tony's side.

Sure enough, as they passed through the bodies of numerous security guards and entered the mansion's grand living room, they saw Tony, unharmed and clad in his iron suit, along with a stunned Coulson.

He hadn't spotted Wolverine and knew he must be hiding temporarily.

"So it was Obadiah; it seems this guy is indeed the cause of today's chaos."

Upon seeing Obadiah's corpse, clearly pierced through the chest by Wolverine's claws, and recalling the Hydra attack that had occurred earlier, George began to piece things together.

"You're back! There was a little accident, but I handled it all."

Tony removed his helmet, revealing himself with a nonchalant expression.

"Tony, I'm so glad you're okay!"

Tears streaming down her face, Pepper rushed over to him, terrified by the sight of all the bodies.

Tony was momentarily stunned when Pepper embraced him, but then a unique smile broke across his face.

To be honest, the person he trusted most in this world was Pepper; she was the only one who genuinely cared about his safety.

After facing life and death, he developed some special feelings for her—perhaps they could take their relationship a step further.

"Oh, I just didn't want to have to find a new job."

Pepper, regaining her composure, took a step back and handed the USB drive to Tony.

"Here are all the pieces of evidence against Obadiah, including the video of his dealings with the terrorists who kidnapped you. However, it might not be needed now."

"By the way, this is the agent Coulson I mentioned," she added.

"Hello, Agent Coulson. You see, this is self-defense," Tony said, accepting the USB drive while pointing at the deceased Obadiah. He then turned to greet Coulson.

Next, he glanced at George, who gave him a knowing look, and Tony understood without needing to greet him directly.

"Of course, Mr. Stark, what is that you're wearing?" Coulson inquired, his curiosity piqued as he noticed the Mark suit on Tony.

It was incredible that a playboy like Tony had managed to defeat so many top mercenaries capable of easily killing the mansion's guards, all thanks to this suit.

This demonstrated just how formidable the armor was—truly an epoch-making weapon of slaughter.

"Oh, you mean this? It's my latest high-tech prosthetic," Tony replied, gesturing to the armor with a serious expression.

Coulson was momentarily stunned:

"Are you sure it's just a high-tech prosthetic? What about these bodies?"

"Yes, it's a high-tech prosthetic that makes it easier for me to move. As for these guys, I took them down. Didn't you know I studied Wing Chun?" Tony led the way out of the living room.

"Alright, that's not important. Let's find a place without the smell of blood to discuss what this strategic bureau of yours is all about and what it has to do with my father."

"It's the Department of Homeland Strategic Defense, Attack, and Logistics," Coulson replied as he followed Tony outside.

"Don't you think your name is a bit too long and cumbersome?"

"It is quite long; you can call us S.H.I.E.L.D. instead."

"That name rolls off the tongue much easier."

George signaled for Pepper to follow them while he headed to Iron Man's workshop below.

Sure enough, he found Wolverine there, sipping a drink.

"What's going on?"

"Here's the situation," Wolverine recounted what had transpired after George left.

"Just before the battle ended, I saw you approaching the entrance. To avoid revealing my identity, I hid away."

"You did well. Coulson is an experienced agent; he would definitely recognize you. For now, it's best that we stay off the government's radar."

George nodded and then led Wolverine upstairs, flying them out of the mansion and into a concealed X-Jet in the sky before returning to the living room.

"Zombie levitation!"

"Clean slate!"

He waved his hand to gather all the bodies into one pile and used a cleansing spell to tidy up the living room. Once he ensured that S.H.I.E.L.D. agents wouldn't find any traces of Wolverine, he positioned himself as a bodyguard at the entrance.

About half an hour later, Tony and the others returned to the living room.

"You really cleaned up fast!"

Coulson looked at the spotless room, a look of intrigue in his eyes as he regarded George.

Cleaning a blood-stained room in just over half an hour showcased top-tier skills. Had he misjudged this guy?

However, even if he was a top security personnel, it seemed unlikely that he wouldn't have access to relevant information.

Or did this guy have some special identity that might relate to the third-party force mentioned by the director that rescued Tony?

"Since my father was once part of S.H.I.E.L.D., I'll leave the rest to you," Tony said, handing the USB drive to Coulson and shifting the topic.

Coulson didn't dwell on it further and replied sincerely,

"Don't worry, Mr. Stark. We'll handle the follow-up. In a few days, all you need to do is hold a press conference announcing that Obadiah died in a plane accident tonight."
