V was raised by the streets of Heywood, Night City. At the age of 13, a junkie tried to knife one of his chooms. But V reacted first and stabbed him, becoming his first kill. V knew him from before, as the junkie who had always been begging on the streets, and was fond of him.
Though V initially left for Atlanta two years ago, he returned to Night City after realizing it was not going to work out. Whilst recovering from a fight in El Coyote Cojo, V agrees to help the bartender, Pepe Najarro, settle a debt with a fixer by the name of Kirk Sawyer. In exchange for paying the debt, Kirk sent V to steal a Rayfield Aerondight from a corpo agent.
After receiving a lift from his old friend Padre, V proceeded with the job. As he managed to enter and was about to start the car, V was stopped by Jackie Welles, who was also attempting to steal the vehicle. However, they were quickly surrounded by the NCPD, and were arrested.
Though ordered to be executed by the vehicle's owner - Kaoru Fujioka - they were instead knocked out and left bloodied in an alleyway of Heywood. After the ordeal, V and Jackie were properly introduced, the latter revealing that Kirk's threats were actually empty since he does not have any connection to the Cartels. After Jackie invited him for a meal, V hesitantly accepted, leading to their friendship.
V stayed with Jackie for six months, doing mercenary jobs together while improving their street cred. Eventually, V managed to save enough money to rent an apartment of his own in Megabuilding H10.
Around the last week of March 2077, after completing a job for El Capitan, V and Jackie were contacted by El Padre for a job. But they had to meet the client for the details of the mission.
V and Jackie were standing outside a Club in the City Center.
"Horale Hermano is this where the client wants to meet? It looks like one of those places where Corpos gather to touch each other's balls" Jackie jokes.
"I know Jackie, but Padre said that he knew the client and that the pay would be substantial"
"Ok then let us head inside," said Jackie as both mercs entered the club.
As both of them entered the club they saw a receptionist and walked towards her desk.
"Hello miss we have an appointment with Mr. Martinez"
The woman looked up and as she was about to ask something, her eyes glowed indicating she received a call, after a few seconds her eyes returned to normal and she said.
"Mr. V and Mr. Welles Please follow me. I will guide you to the private room" She told them to leave their weapon in the weapons locker.
After they both put their weapons in the store unit they were asked to follow the receptionist. when they enter the club they notice how Fancy and clean it is. usually, you can see trash and condoms on the floor of this type of club "I guess the clubs for big corpo rats are nicer than the ones in the rest of the city" whispered Jackie, and I could not help but agree.
After we went to the second floor to a private room, we saw two people already there, the first was a beautiful girl with silver-blonde hair who had a Netrunner getup. the second was a Hispanic-looking young man with a fancy-looking suit.
"Oh, Hello V and Jackie I assume," said the young man.
"Please take a sit" Jackie and V sat opposite to both.
"Hey Amigos My name is Jackie Welles and this is Mi Hermano V" V nodded and said, "So are you the Client Padre mentioned?"
"Yes, that's me, and my name is David and this is Lucy" The woman just gave a nod and stayed quiet.
"Well now that the introduction is out of the way I will let you know of the Gig for which I want to hire you," said David and both Jackie and V turned serious.
"Lucy if you can please" Lucy took out 3 shards and put them on the table. two of them Lucy pushes towards them and the last one stays close to her. Both Jackie and V took them and inserted them into their Neuroports.
"As you can see the job is simple all you have to do is take this Shard and insert it into the Neuroport of this man and wait for 1 hour until we can safely extract the information we need"
Both Jackie and V look at the information of the target. Anders Hellman a researcher who is planning to defect from Arasaka. and will have a meeting with personnel from Kang Tao. "The Meeting will be in 3 days and Hellman will prepare himself by going off the grip for 7 hours."
"The mission is to intercept Hellman on the way and knock him out, making it look like you are only stealing his car, but in reality, will insert this untraceable shard that will leave no clues of the information stolen behind"
"the shard will take approximately 1 hour to finish coping the information, after is done all you have to do is drop the shard in a location we will provide and the job will be done" finished David.
"The rest of the info of his route and the times you will have to set up and ambush are there too, the payment will be 50,000 eddies and a bonus of 10,000 if you can complete without anyone noticing"
Both Jackie and V were surprised by the amount of money they would get from the job, usually they only get a few thousand eddies per job.
"Ok you have yourself a deal," said V.
As both Jackie and V left, Lucy asked "Why do we need to get the info on the blueprints of that prototype" I knew that I would have to explain this to Lucy and I had come up with an excuse that was also the Truth.
Since coming back from the moon I have been thinking of the events that will happen soon, I thought hard about whether it was worth interfering with the story or not. In the end, it all came down to whether I wanted to fuck Arasaka over what they did to Lucy and Prevent Saburo to take Yorinobus's Body.
I decided to Intervene in the story but I would not be an idiot and join the Heist. I will make a plan to try and help V while I make sure that Makoshi gets destroyed at the end.
"A few months ago I got info that Yorinobu Arasaka stole something from the Emperor, and is bringing it to Nigth City. Also, Do you remember the info I got from the mission on the VooDoo boys, well I investigated it and through the black market I discovered that the Voodoo boys wanted to steal the chip from Yorinobu"
"Also for the past few months, Dexter Deshawn has been trying to convince Ghost to do the job of stealing the Chip from Yorinobu. After I declined he asked all of the high-rank Mercs in the city, But no one is stupid enough to go against Arasaka"
"But just a few weeks ago I got info from Wakako that Deshawn is planning to hire a rising star named V for a job"
Lucy looked surprised and asked, "Then why ask them to do this mission?"
"First I want to see if they can handle a high-profile mission and if they can do it professionally without being found out"
"Second I wanted to know what is the item the voodoo boys want so much they plan to cross Arasaka, and from the Info I got this Guy Hellman is the creator of the Chip"
"And lastly I want to get a bit of payback for all the stuff Arasaka did to you," I said as I moved to hug Lucy "I will not interfere with their mission, I will only help them from the shadows without anyone noticing"
Also if I get the blueprints of the Relic maybe I can find a way to help V stop the relic from changing too much of V's brain Because the problem at the end of the game is that Alt was able to separate V and Johnny but the biochip had changed too much of V's brain, and V could not live for more than 6 months after returning if I can stall the chip from changing V brain to much once V stomrs Arasaka and enters Makoshi alt will be able to separated both Johnny and V and V can come back to the body without any problems while alt destroys Mikoshi and deals a massive blow to Arasaka.
