So far,
Nishiv places his hand on Nandini's shoulder and, looking at her, says, "She is my wife. Dare you say anything to her or raise a hand against her, and you will have to pay a very heavy price." As soon as Nandini heard Nishiv's words, her eyes filled with tears once again. How, just a little while ago, Nishiv was forcing himself on her and denying that she was his wife, and now, in front of everyone, he was calling her his wife.
But Nandini knew the truth, that none of it was real. Once again, tears welled up in her eyes from the pain, and she closed her eyes. Only she knew how much pain she was feeling in her heart.
Moving forward...
Riya, glaring at Nishiv in anger, says, "You will regret this, Nishiv. I'm telling you, it won't be good for you." Hearing Riya, Nishiv replies, "Nishiv Rathore isn't afraid of anyone. I am not such a weak person. And I certainly don't fear ants like you. It would be best for you to leave my house right now."
Hearing this, Riya feels deeply humiliated and leaves the house immediately. When the argument between Riya and Nishiv was happening, Dadi and Avni had come outside after hearing the commotion. Dadi felt pleased to see Nishiv standing up for his wife in front of Riya. She comes forward and says to Nishiv, "I am very happy that you are standing by your wife.
Otherwise, the way you got married, I didn't think you'd ever give her the status of your wife." Hearing this, Nishiv says, "Dadi, I married her, and she is my wife. I would not like it at all if anyone disrespects her or says anything about her." Hearing Nishiv's words, Dadi smiles and says, "May God keep you both together and happy."
After that, Dadi looks at Nandini and says, "Dear, now that you're married, you have to go to your home for the 'pag phera' ritual." Hearing this, Nishiv says, "No, Dadi, she's not going anywhere." Hearing this, Dadi scolds him, saying, "Look, Nishiv, just because you married her of your own will doesn't mean everything will happen the way you want. I've said she will go for the 'pag phera' ritual, and you will go and bring her back in the evening."
"And hear me clearly, the 'pag phera' ritual must happen, and she will go to her home." Saying this, Dadi walks away. Hearing Dadi's words, Nandini looks at Nishiv, as she knows what will happen if she goes home and whether Nishiv will even allow her to go.
Nishiv looks at Nandini and says, "We will have to follow Dadi's words. You will have to go to your home. But don't think that I'll come with you or pick you up. You'll have to come back on your own." Saying this, he starts to leave. Then, as if remembering something, he turns back to Nandini and says, "And yes, just because I stood up for you in front of everyone doesn't mean I've accepted you as my wife." This time, Nandini replies, "Don't worry, I wouldn't even dream of thinking of myself as your wife." Saying this, she walks away. Nishiv stands there, watching her leave.
A little while later, Dadi sends Nandini to her home for the 'pag phera' ritual with some items. Nandini quietly sits in the car, but now she feels scared. She doesn't know what will happen when she reaches home because she was aware of what might happen next. A little later, the car stops in front of a small house. Nandini steps out of the car and tells the driver, "You can leave now." The driver says, "But, madam…" Nandini insists, "Please go, we've reached our home, I'll go by myself." Hearing this, the driver leaves.
Nandini looks at her house, and tears well up in her eyes again. She gathers her courage and walks toward the house. She rings the doorbell, and after a short while, a woman of about 40-45 years old opens the door. Nandini tries to smile at her, but as soon as the woman sees Nandini, her face fills with anger. With great effort, Nandini says one word, "Masi." The moment the woman hears this, she slaps Nandini without a second thought.
Nandini's face turns to the side, and tears fill her eyes once again. She puts her hand on her cheek, looks up at the woman, and in a choked voice says, "Masi." Hearing this, the woman says, "Don't you dare call me Masi again. I'm not your Masi. If you cared about me, if you thought of me as your Masi, you wouldn't have done what you did."
"You disappeared the whole night! Where were you? Who were you with? There was no news of you, and now you have the audacity to show up in this state and call me Masi? Have you lost all your shame and dignity? You've thrown all my upbringing into the dirt in a single moment. Do you even realize the things the people in the neighborhood were saying? The way they looked at us? You've left us with no respect, no dignity. Did you ever stop to think about what I would have to endure because of your actions?"
Hearing her aunt's words, Nandini, crying, says, "But Masi, please listen to me. I can explain everything. Instead of making a scene here, let's go inside and talk." Her aunt, furious, says, "Don't you dare... don't you dare set foot inside this house. And after what you've done, there's nothing left to say or hear. Get out of here. You're dead to us. Don't ever show your face again."
"I don't know what cursed moment it was when we brought you into our home and treated you like a daughter, and this is how you've repaid us. But you know what? It's for the best; we're free of you now. You've spread nothing but bad luck in this house. Now that you're gone, we're better off. Don't ever show me your cursed face again." Saying this, her aunt slams the door shut.
Once again, Nandini was completely broken. She had thought that if no one else, at least her aunt would understand her. But even her aunt didn't think it necessary to listen to her. Tears streamed down Nandini's face as she stood there for a while, looking at the closed door, and then she walked away.
Meanwhile, Nishiv was sitting in his office, working, when he received a call. He looked at the caller ID and answered the phone. As soon as he put the phone to his ear, he heard something that made his expression turn hard. Without saying a word, Nishiv hung up the phone.
After thinking for a while, Nishiv says, "It's better for you. This is what you deserve." Saying this, he goes back to his work. In fact, it was his man who had called him, the one he had sent to follow Nandini, and he had just told Nishiv everything that had happened between Nandini and her aunt. Hearing this, Nishiv's expression hardened, but the next moment, he said, "She deserves it," and went back to his work.
