Chapter 35 - CHAPTER 35 SISTERS

PRESENT DAY IN THE MAGICAL REALM

"What's going on?" Bella asks as she looks at the orb of blue and white lights surrounding her bed.

"It's your magic, my dear, it's protecting you, I don't know from what but it seems to have sensed some kind of danger." Lord lungu explains to his daughter.

Bella tries to touch the orb and the blue and white light goes through her body leaving it tingling.

"I have only seen this once, thirty years ago during the war, your late grandfather's magic had surrounded him the day before the brotherhood attacked the great mountains." Lord lungu explains.

"Does this mean we are going to be attacked, father?" Sarah asks.

"I am not sure my dear, but your sister will have to go to the oval kingdom sooner than we wanted." Lord lungu says. "Bella my dear I know you wanted to stay with us for a few more days but I think you should go to the Oval Kingdom as soon as possible."

"Okay, father," Bella answers.

"I have already instructed the great witch to contact one of the witches from the Oval Kingdom to tell your uncle King James that you will be going there tomorrow." Lord lungu says.

"Tomorrow? Father, you can't send her tomorrow, we haven't even gotten to know our sister." Sarah says.

"You will have plenty of time to get to know your sister Sarah, the most important thing to do right now is to make sure she is safe. We need to find a way to stabilize her magic and the only way to do it is if she goes to the Oval Kingdom and have the pure magic transferred back to Princess Rose." Lord lungu explains.

"But what if she gets attacked on the way?" Sarah asks.

"She won't get attacked because she will go there through the portal. Stop worrying everything will be okay." Lord lungu explains.

"But the dragons do not allow anyone to go to their kingdom through a portal," Sarah says.

"They will make an exception for your sister because she is also part dragon." Lord lungu says.

"But what if they refuse?" Sarah asks.

"They won't refuse." Lord lungu says.

"Where is Mother I can't see her?" Sarah asks.

"Your mother, Racheal, and Nichole are helping the other witches to strengthen the protective spells around Harmonia. We do not know who else knows that Belladonna is here, so we have to prepare." Lord lungu says. "I will go check on the arrangements, stay with your sister and if anything changes, call for me."

"Okay, Father," Sarah says as she sits next to Bella.

Bella watches as her father leaves the room and then lets go of the breath she has been holding. "Is he always like this?" Bella asks Sarah.

"Like what?" Sarah asks.

"Is he always worried?"

"No, I think he is just scared of losing you after just finding you," Sarah says with a smile.

"Sarah, can I ask you a question?" Bella asks.

"Yes, you can ask me anything," Sarah tells her.

"Who are the keepers of magic and what role do they play in the magical realm?" Bella asks.

Sarah smiles at Bella's question, intrigued by her curiosity about the magical realm. "The keepers of magic are powerful beings who are tasked with safeguarding the balance of magic in our world," she begins. "They play a crucial role in maintaining harmony and order, ensuring that magic is used responsibly and for the greater good."

As Sarah speaks, Bella listens intently, her eyes wide with wonder. "But who are these keepers of magic? I mean has anyone ever seen them before?" she presses, eager to learn more.

Sarah pauses for a moment, choosing her words carefully. "The keepers of magic are a select group of individuals who have been chosen by the ancient forces of the magical realm," she explained. "They possess unique abilities and knowledge that allow them to harness the power of magic and protect it from those who seek to misuse it. No one has ever seen them before. It is believed that the guardians of the magical species get their magic from them."

Bella nods, absorbing the information. "So, what else do the keepers of magic do?" she asked, her curiosity piqued.

Sarah smiled, pleased by Bella's interest. "The keepers of magic are not just responsible for maintaining the balance of magic in our world, they are also responsible for making sure that the root magic of every species is not corrupted," she replies.

"What is the root of magic?" Bella asks with curiosity.

"The root of magic is the source of every magical species. For example, the root magic of the vampires is in the great mountains here in Harmonia. The root magic of the vampires is called pure vampire magic; only the royal vampires can control it." Sarah explains.

"The pure vampire magic you are talking about is the same one Father said I have?" Bella asks.

"Yes, it is, sister."

"Well then, we should thank the keepers of magic for their good work," Bella says.

Sarah chuckles, delighted by Bella's remark. "Yes, the keepers of magic are truly remarkable beings," she agrees. "They are the guardians of our world, protecting us from harm and guiding us towards a brighter future," Sarah says.

"Thank you, Sarah," Bella says.

"You do not need to thank me, Belladonna, you are my sister and I have to tell you things that you don't know. And if you need anything do not hesitate to ask me." Sarah says.

"Sarah, can I trust you?" Bella asks.

"Of course, you can trust me, I am your sister. I know we just met but I swear by all the gods that you can trust me. I will lay down my life for you if need be." Sarah says. "I know there is something you are hiding. I am not going to push you to tell me what it is but I want you to know that I am here for you no matter what. You are my blood and there is no relation greater than that of blood."

"What do you know about the prophecy, Sarah?" Bella asks.

"Do you mean the one that has been told for thousands of years?" Sarah asks.

"Yes, the same one," Bella answers.

"What do you know about the prophecy Belladonna?" Sarah asks.

Bella is about to answer when Sarah puts a finger on her mouth signaling her not to say anything. Sarah closes her eyes and says something that Bella does not understand. "Okay, we can talk now, no one will be able to eavesdrop on our conversation," Sarah says.

"I saw the keepers of magic today," Bella says.

"When, how and where?" Sarah asks, surprise written all over her face.

"Today when I was sleeping I found myself in a room that looked like a shrine. The walls were decorated with detailed tapestries and the shelves were filled with candles and statues of various gods and goddesses. The room was dimly lit, casting a warm and inviting glow over everything. When I walked further into the room I noticed a small altar in the center. On the altar, there was a single candle burning brightly. The candle drew me to it. I felt a wave of energy wash over me the moment I got near the candle. The feeling was nothing that I felt before. In that place, I felt free and at peace. A few minutes later a voice talked to me and they said they were the guardians of magic." Bella explains.

"Did you see anyone?" Sarah asks.

"No, I only saw shadows on the wall."

"What did the guardians of magic tell you and what does it have to do with the prophecy?" Sarah asks.

"They called me queen, they even said that I was the one that was promised in the prophecy. The one that is destined to unite all species." Bella says.

"Did they tell you anything else?" Sarah asks.

"They said that I am a gift from the Goddess of peace Elyria, Goddess and maker of dragons Scalydra, God and maker of vampires Crimsonius, the God and maker of werewolves Feraluna and the God and maker of witches and warlocks Arcanus. Today was the first time that I heard of these gods and goddesses, I don't even know what it means to be a child of prophecy. " Bella says.

"Oh, spirits, Belladonna, you need to listen to me very carefully," Sarah says. Bella can tell that whatever Sarah is about to tell her is something important. "Under no circumstances will you tell anyone about what you just told me. Not mother, our sisters, father, or anyone else, not even your uncle King James. You are the child of prophecy and your life is very important. You need to wait until you know who you can trust. We will not talk about this unless necessary. Do you understand Belladonna?"

"Yes, but why don't you want me to tell anyone?"

"It's the only way to keep you safe. A week ago before the seer had a vision of you, I had a dream similar to yours. The keepers of magic told me that I would aoon meet the  child of prophecy and that there would come a time when I would have to lay my life for her. When I asked who she was they told me that I would know when I meet her. I knew it was you the moment I laid my eyes on you sister." Sarah says.

"You knew?" Bella asks.

"Yes, sister. I might be a year younger than you but I know magic and I will do everything within my power to protect you." Sarah says as she hugs Bella.
