So... you talked to Gaia?"
"We already established that."
"Yes, but as in actual words? Not just some emotional or mental connection?"
"What even-Yes! heard actual words!"
It was the next day and Yang was having some fruit for breakfast. She stuck extra close to me even after she went to sleep with her claws stabbing into my body. I had to actually make a small crowbar for Yu to remove Yang's claws.
We decided to wait till the next day to discuss what happened in case Gaia tries to contact me again. Nothing happened and I didn't experience any headaches.
When Yang woke up and her claws were no longer in me, we gave her some fruit to calm down and start eating. While she did that, me and Yu started our discussion.
"Aren't you connected to Gaia all the time? How is this different from what you or the other Elementals?" I asked while Yang sat on my lap.
"This isn't the same," Yu sighed and placed a hand on her forehead. "We can communicate with Gaia. We can feel it's emotions and desires. We sometimes even understand exactly what it wants us to do. But, a direct speech with actual words? That... I don't even know where to begin. Not only has it not happened before, but the amount of stress it would place on an Elemental is downright torture. If you were actually made of organic matter, you would have blown into a pile of mush."
"Zack die?!"
"Oh for-We just got her to calm down!" I immediately started petting Yang before she glued herself on me again. "I'm not going to die. I promise you," After Yang calmed down, I turned back to Yu. "So... what now?"
"The hell are you asking me for? Gaia told you something so you do it. It isn't my business what it is, how you do it, or what it takes," Yu was giving the strongest 'that ain't my problem' look I ever got.
I ran a hand through my face and groaned. Gaia was asking if I can actually 'fix it' and I know I claimed that I would do that but I honestly have no idea how to even begin or even if that's possible.
Ending the world would be easy for me. I'm a walking natural disaster waiting to happen. I can just cause endless earthquakes, countless tsunamis, whither all trees, pollute all air, and erupt all volcanos all at the same time.
It's fixing the world that I have a problem with.
Why is it so easy to break things but fixing them is always hard? "Well, I'll be going now," Yu suddenly stood up from her seat.
"Going where?" I asked.
"The whole forest just got restocked in terms of plants and herbes. I'm not missing that out," Yu said, referring to how the Feeder's Seed explosion pretty much rejuvenated the whole forest. Huh, that's an idea. Can't I just... No. Feeder's Seed only unleashes the magic it absorbs so unless I get something that endlessly generates Magical Energy from nothing, I can't use it to heal Gaia
"Wait, what about Yang's training?" I realised and asked. "We'll discuss it when I get back," With that, she left. I looked back at Yang and she looked at me... through the locks of her hair.
Oh, right, her hair cut. I turned my hand into metal, shaped two of the fingers into scissors, and got to work after washing her.
One hair cut later, her red hair looked a lot better. It reached her shoulders now and the front no longer reached her eyes. She looked a lot closer to her mother now only with slightly longer hair.
"There. Good as new," I said while placing my hands on my waist.
Yang looked down at her fallen hair and picked up some. She placed it at the end of her hair - the one she had on her head and looked like she was trying to connect them back together.
She let go and the hair dropped from her hand. She looked at it at the ground and frowned in frustration and I swear she started puffing her cheeks. Dammit! It should be illegal to be that cute
