I made many mistakes in my life. One of them was asking Stheno a certain question.

"Can you teach me how to read Greek?"

I have met a LOT of women in my life. Yet, somehow, Stheno is the only one that can do a face that is naturally both smug and sadistic.

"T-E-E?" I read.

"Wrong!" Stheno yelled. "It says 'tea'. Honestly, if I knock on your head all I'd hear is the echo of a hollowed tree!"

The sadist part about this is that she's right. My head does make a sound like that, in my wood element at least.

"Okay, sorry for not being perfect," I sighed while holding a wooden tablet.

Obviously paper and ink weren't a thing yet. So, we were using wooden tablets and some burned charcoal to write on things. Stheno complained for literal hours on how 'a goddess shouldn't get her hands dirty'.

"It's your own fault for having the inability to read," Stheno commented while smugly turning her nose away.

"I CAN read, just not Greek," I replied with a sigh.

"So you can read other languages?" Medusa asked.

Medusa was also there along with Euryale. We were actually inside the new house. The large open windows-which didn't really have any glass - were lighting up the whole place and giving it a more natural feel.

One detail that I was really happy for is that Medusa was actually wearing a white dress like her sisters rather than her old black dress and cloak. Most of her scales are gone now and whichever ones were left were basically just a few lines on her skin that were due to vanish soon.

She also grew a bit taller. She was slowly reaching the height of the Rider Servant Medusa, but she wasn't there yet. If I had to say, she was somewhere from her mid to late teens by Gods' terms.

It took a lot of convincing to finally get her to wear the white dress rather than those black cloaks. She finally gave in when her sisters said something about 'a goddess shouldn't wear some rough clothes' or something amongst those lines.

"Well, not that many languages, just Mesopotamian," I answered Medusa's question.

"Mesopotamian?" Euryale asked me with a raised eyebrow. "You're from Mesopotamia territory?"

"Not... exactly..." I replied while scratching my head.

"Did you meet any gods there?" Euryale asked while resting her head on her arms.

"Yeah, though I can't say they left a good impression," I mumbled while thinking back to Ishtar. "What are the gods there like?" Medusa asked while tilting her head.

Honestly, I only met Ishtar, and slightly - very slightly - caught a glimpse of Ereshkigal. I did have regular talks with Tiamat, but I can't base all the gods there on her. Thankfully, Enkidu was willing to share what he knew about the gods with me. "They're prideful about their heritage and traditions. They value their bloodlines a lot. Heck, they mostly only have children with each other, and when they don't, they make sure whatever offspring is born is more god than mortal,"

I explained to them what Enkidu told me.

"Sounds like the opposite of Zeus and his siblings," Euryale commented. "Most of the gods here in Greek have as many children as possible, except for Hades. Some even have children WITH their children."

A part of me seriously wanted to ask how can alien spaceships have children with mortal beings.

But, another part of me thought that some things are better left unknown.
