In hindsight, I probably should have stopped walking towards people and casually greeting them before I got the 'puppet'. I didn't look friendly with the fangs, the demonic look, and the claws.
But that didn't stop me.
It's been a few seconds after the two sisters noticed me and screamed.
What were they doing now?
"-AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH-"
They were STILL screaming!
"Okay, those are some seriously impressive lungs, but can you stop?" I asked while covering the sides of my head by instinct.
The sisters ignored my plea and just kept screaming while hugging each other. (Wait,) I thought to myself as I realised something. (If Stheno and Euryale are here, then where's-)
*stab!"
I looked down and saw that a blade had punched through my back and out my chest.
Something pulled on the blade and pulled me back with it, moving me away from the-somehow-still screaming girls caused me to flip in the air a few times before the blade was pulled again, this time downwards, and caused me to crash harshly on the ground.
"Big sisters! Get behind me!" A new female voice said as I pulled myself out of the ground, whatever damage I suffered fixing itself.
"Took you long enough, Meduseless!"
"Yeah! For all you know, he could have eaten us by now."
"Okay, first off," I started as I finally got up and pulled the blade from my back and saw it was connected to chains. "I don't eat people."
The one holding the chain, unsurprisingly, was Medusa. Though, she looked a bit younger than I expected. She looked somewhere between her Lily version and her Rider version. She was wearing a black uniform with a cloak and a hood.
"Now, do you wanna maybe talk" With great speed, Medusa pulled out another blade and rushed towards me.
Sadly for her, Gilgamesh's blades were FAR faster.
I jumped back and kept peddling back as she swung both blades at me. I honestly didn't really want to hurt her since she was just protecting her sisters. Especially since this was a misunderstanding.
"Can you please let me talk?" I asked.
She didn't reply and just kicked me in the abdomen, sending me flying away. Being made of wood didn't exactly mean I weighted a lot.
I broke out of the tree line and fell on the ground.
I stood back up with whatever injuries I sustained vanishing in seconds. I looked around and saw that the entire area was filled with ruins of Greek buildings.
The buildings themselves were pure white, no sign age on them beyond the broken parts and the plant life growing on them. It was honestly an odd but still beautiful sight. "So these are the Shapeless Isles, huh?" I asked, looking around.
I heard something land behind me and looked to see
Medusa, holding both blades in hand. "I won't let anyone harm my sisters!" She yelled before opening her eyes widely at me and they started glowing purple.
And then... literally nothing happened. I just stood there looking at her eyes in silence.
"Uh... what are you doing?" I asked.
Medusa seemed to jump in shock. "M-My eyes aren't working!? How?!"
Oh, is that what she was doing? "I don't think your eyes can turn to stone what can naturally turn to stone," I said before turning to my rock element.
"W-What!?" Medusa took a step back before glaring at me again. "I-It doesn't matter, I won't let you hurt them!" She yelled before charging at me.
I sighed before turning to my metal element and controlling the chains of her weapon.
I caused the chains to wrap around her and lift her off the ground, which caused her to scream in shock as I held her upside down in front of me.
"So, now that you can't attack me, do you want to talk now?" Medusa just glared at me as a response and began struggling against the chains. "Look, I'm not here to hurt anyone. I ended up on this island by pure chance, and I have no idea where I am."
That caused Medusa to stop struggling and look at me in confusion. "You... you don't?" She asked and I nodded. I wasn't REALLY lying. I did end up here by chance after all. "So... the gods didn't send you?"
"I'm an Elemental. We answer to the world itself. I couldn't care less about the gods."
"Oh," that caused Medusa to stop struggling and look down-or in her case, up-in embarrassment.
Honestly, I really did meet her by pure chance. But she and her sisters became something irreplaceable to me.
"So, this was just a big misunderstanding?" Euryale asked.
The three Gorgon sisters were all standing in front of me.
Medusa was released from her bindings and was sitting between her sister, fidgeting slightly, "Yes. I don't know why you girls thought I was here to hurt anyone, but I'm not," I said while crossing my arms.
" Meduseless," Euryale began poking Medusa's cheek. "Honestly, why are you such a brute? Going for battle
"Geez, this is because you jumped into conclusions, the first chance you get," Stheno did the same with the other cheek.
"Weren't you two the ones screaming for your lives for minutes nonstop?" I asked.
"I remember no such thing," Stheno stopped poking Medusa's cheek and huffed while looking away. "Neither do I," Euryale followed her example.
Honestly, I could poke about that at them a little more, but I wanted to keep the conversation from straying. "So, what is this place?" I asked. "This is the Shapeless Isles," Stheno said, motioning to the area around with her hands.
"Home to us, the Gorgon sisters, goddess born to be beautiful and loved," Euryale finished, but motioning to herself and her sisters instead of the location.
I looked around the area one more time. Despite how beautiful it looked, I had only one thing to say about the broken buildings and unattended plant life.
"This place's a dump."
