Have you ever met someone who you just knew was strong from how they held themselves?
They weren't muscular or anything like that, they just gave you the feeling that they're strong?
That's what meeting Gilgamesh is like.
I just stared at the king of freaking heroes as he landed in front of us as his swords vanished.
"Now, is walking all You're able to do, or can you actually speak, tree?"
Gilgamesh asked me as he looked over at the people. "And who might this group of dessert filth be?"
Technically, they came from the forest, but I wasn't in the mood to correct him. "We're not looking for any trouble. These are just travellers who I was helping pass the dessert to your kingdom, King Gilgamesh," I said trying to sound respectful.
Gilgamesh raised an eyebrow and chuckled. "Oh, and do you expect me to accept any wandering animal into my kingdom? Do you take me for a fool, tree?"
Okay, he's just being an asshole now, but I still can't afford a fight. "No, but I was hoping you'd be generous enough to at least offer these people a home, King Gilgamesh," I was seriously trying my best to stroke his ego, but that's hard with one as big as his.
Gilgamesh scoffed and glared at me. "Do not make assumptions on my intentions, Tree, the only reason you still live is because I found you interesting, but that is no longer the case," he said as a few golden portals opened around him.
My eyes widen in fear and I looked back. The people began panicking and screaming.
I can't let them die here! They were relying on me to keep them alive and give them a new chance of life.
I especially can't let them die because of this asshole.
Thinking of anything at all that can help the situation, I pointed at the horizon and cried out, "What's that?!"
Everyone, both the people behind me and Gilgamesh looked at where I was pointing.
Seeing him distracted, I jumped at Gilgamesh, and tried to grow my legs as tall as possible as I grabbed him and began running away from the people to keep him from hurting them.
Did Gilgamesh ever forgive me for that little trick? No. Did I ever let him live it down? Also no.
Thank you, Master Po.
Third POV:
The refugees watched with wide eyes as Zack grabbed the king of Uruk and began running away from them.
The long legs carrying the Elemental further than he could normally go.
"W-What will we do now?!" One of the men cried out in horror, fearing that the guards of the city will go after them.
"C-Calm down!" Baraka yelled out. Although his voice was shaky, he still attempted to appear strong. "Great Zack had not failed to protect us yet! We should believe that he will not fail us now."
Most people regained hope, while there were others that remained doubtful, having already heard of Gilgamesh and his achievements in their travels.
"Well, this is interesting," a soothing voice said and the people looked to see a person with long green hair wearing white robes coming towars them from the city. "It's been a while since I've seen Gil so invested in something," the person said, looking at where Gilgamesh and Zack went before looking back at the people. "Now, can someone explain to me what's going on?"
