Chapter 9 - Elfs Kingdom!!

All the nearby zombies were dead, and the spiders had been killed by Leon. However, the skeletons remained unharmed due to their distance.

One skeleton shot at Nabil, who blocked the attack with his shield, which was then destroyed. At that moment, he glanced at his sword and saw it had only 0.5% health left. He checked his inventory and saw he had created another wooden shield.

"I've used all my wood. Only one piece is left. I've already made three shields and three wooden swords because my stone sword and axe broke. Now, I have 0.5% health left in this wooden sword, and it's my last one. During the battle, I've used my pickaxe, axe, and hoe. I have almost nothing left," Nabil thought as another skeleton shot at him.

He blocked the shot, and a zombie attacked, so he stabbed it with his sword.

Meanwhile, Leon was fiercely battling the fire monsters and giant spiders. Seeing Nabil's dire situation, Leon roared and created a large energy ball, which he hurled toward the skeletons. The skeletons began to die from the energy.

< Leon's energy power has been restored >

After using the attack, Leon collapsed, unconscious. Nabil rushed to Leon and saw that he was out cold. More zombies began to spawn around them.

Nabil started fighting the zombies but was quickly outnumbered. Suddenly, hundreds of lions appeared from every direction, attacking the zombies and other mobs.

"So he screamed to call other lions? Wow," Nabil thought as the lions engaged the zombies.

The number of zombies grew to thousands, and they started attacking the lions.

Day 10

The sun just rose up.

Leon was licking the faces of the dead lions, but only three lions remained alive besides Leon, and they were severely injured.

"Isn't there any way to protect them? They're all dying," Nabil asked the system.

< Potion of Life can save them. But to get the potion, you need to reach the Mountain of Hefdo. >

"Where is this? How can I get there?" Nabil asked.

< It's behind an East Elf village, about a hundred kilometers away. >

"What? And where is this Elf village?"

< Can't provide information. Reach level 05 to see the map. >

"What is my level?" Nabil asked desperately.

< It's Level 4 with 1121 points. You need 819 more points to level up. >

One of the damaged lions died. Nabil went over and saw that it had died.

"Oh no, another lion has died," Nabil said with sadness on his face.

Leon was trying to heal another lion by licking it, but that lion died too. The last lion managed to move toward them but fell and died as well.

Leon, heartbroken, licked the faces of the dead lions, but they did not respond.

"Again, some innocent animals died because of me. Why? Why did they have to come? I am responsible for the deaths of these innocent animals," Nabil said, tears streaming down his face.

Leon comforted him by rubbing his body against Nabil's face.

Noon

Leon and Nabil were resting beside the pond.

Nabil checked his coins—764—and realized he had no wood.

"Don't even have wood for making a wooden axe. How will I do anything? Sometimes coins are useless without resources," he lamented.

< You can use coins to upgrade your stats, like speed, strength, health, and more. >

"Will I be healed if I upgrade my health?"

< No, it will increase your health capacity. >

"Yah, understood..."

Suddenly, the ground started to shake, and Nabil saw a herd of red dinosaurs heading toward them.

"What the hell are those?" Nabil exclaimed. Leon woke up, scared, and started pulling Nabil away.

"Leon, what happened? Ouch, ouch, stop pulling me! I'm getting hurt," Nabil said, struggling to understand.

Leon stopped and indicated that Nabil should ride on his back. Nabil quickly climbed onto Leon's back, and Leon started running. Some dinosaurs began to chase them.

"What the? Why are they chasing us?"

< Those are Vlobs. They eat animals like lions, dogs, cats, tigers, elves, and any creatures smaller than their throat. >

"Oh shit, they are huge," Nabil said.

Leon ran faster, and with his speed, he managed to get away from the dinosaurs.

As they reached on top of a mountain, they saw a village in the distance, Nabil asked, "Wait, is that a village?"

< Yes, that's an Elf village. >

"Leon, go there," Nabil instructed.

Leon changed direction and raced toward the village.

---

20 minutes later - 3:22 PM

Nabil and Leon neared the village and saw an energy barrier.

Leon stopped and collapsed, his ears bleeding.

"What happened? What's the matter, Leon?" Nabil asked anxiously.

< They use a very high-pitched sound to repel hostile animals. Though Leon is tameable, he is still considered hostile. The sound is harmful to him. >

---

"I don't want to leave Leon, so I won't go," Nabil said firmly.

< You can find important resources there. >

"Maybe, but Leon, if I go, where will you stay?"

Leon stood up and began walking backward. Nabil turned and saw Leon entering a cave. He followed him inside.

Leon jumped and started nudging Nabil, urging him to go to the village.

"So you want me to go, and you'll stay here in this cave?" Nabil asked.

Leon nodded, indicating agreement.

"But what will you do here? What will you eat?" Nabil inquired.

Leon started running out of the cave.

"Wait, Leon, where are you going?" Nabil asked, running after him.

After five minutes of running, Nabil saw a large field with hundreds of lions.

Leon sprinted toward the lions.

"Oh, so you have them. I was overthinking it," Nabil said, relieved, and started walking back to the village, waving goodbye.

---

Nabil arrived at the village and saw an energy barrier.

"What's that? It looks like a barrier," he remarked.

< Elves can't leave this barrier. If they do, they will turn to dust like zombies. >

"Why is that?"

< It's because their skin and ears aren't suited for the outside environment; they would burn if they left the barrier. >

"That's unfortunate."

< This is why they are so safe inside. The outside world is dangerous, and inside, they are protected. This is also why they haven't advanced technologically. >

"If they're not advanced, how did they create the anti-hostile pitch sound?"

< It's not technology; it's part of the energy field. It's been here from the beginning. >

Nabil approached a river running through the village. The river marked the start of the energy field. The entire village was surrounded by the river, which was enclosed by the energy field.

"I see. Is it safe to enter?"

< You have no armor equipped, so for now, it's safe. If you wore system-made armor, it would melt instantly, including swords and other gear. >

"What about my leather dress? Will it be affected?"

< No, it's a costume, not armor or a weapon. >

"Okay, so it shouldn't cause any problems if I enter?"

< Most likely, no. >

Nabil stepped into the energy field without issue, but as he did, a small portal opened at the entry point, which he didn't notice.

Looking at the river, Nabil thought, "I'll have to swim. This river looks safe."

He jumped into the river and swam across. The river was small, and he crossed it in five minutes without any problems.

On the other side, he saw no one nearby and began walking into the village. He noticed a mud house near the river and looked through the window, seeing an elf woman changing clothes.

The woman screamed when she saw him.

Nabil quickly closed his eyes and apologized, "Sorry, sorry. I didn't mean to."

An elf man came outside, speaking angrily in an unfamiliar language.

"I don't understand what you're saying, but I didn't mean to peek," Nabil said.

The man looked at the energy field, noticing the small hole and the growing portal. He ran towards the village.

"Why are they mad?" Nabil wondered, walking toward the village. He noticed that everyone had yellow hair and was staring at him oddly.

"They look like humans, just a bit shorter—around 5 feet—and they have strange ears," Nabil thought as he walked.

A siren started ringing throughout the village.

"What's that for? Is it because of me?" Nabil asked.

A ray from a large tower struck Nabil on the head, and he instantly fell unconscious.

---

When Nabil awoke, he found himself in a jail cell. An elf in a reinforcement outfit stood outside the bars.

"Where am I? Why am I here?" Nabil asked.

The elf in the reinforcement outfit looked at him and ran away, while another elf with a falchion approached, pointing the weapon at Nabil.

"What have I done?" Nabil asked, but the reinforcement elf began prodding him with the falchion.

An elf dressed like a king, accompanied by other richly dressed elves, arrived. The king-like elf spoke in an unknown language.

"I don't understand you. What are you saying?" Nabil pleaded.

Despite his attempts to communicate, the elves only grew angrier. The king-like elf left, leaving behind a larger, bulkier elf who started to beat Nabil with a chain.

Nabil tried to block the attacks, but the elf continued to hit him, causing him to bleed and gradually lose consciousness.

The elves dragged Nabil's body outside the castle and threw it into a van. The van moved toward the village center and stopped in front of a large 30-meter deep hole. Nabil was thrown into the hole along with some food and a bucket of water.

The glass gate was closed, and an old elf cast a spell. All the other elves left, leaving only three watchmen behind.
