Chapter 1 - Price X Y/N

The air in the small, dimly-lit office was thick with tension. Captain Price sat at his desk, the light from the computer casting shadows across his rugged features. He was going over mission plans, a notebook filled with scribbles and tactical drawings open before him. He had spent years in the field, developing a thick skin and an unwavering sense of duty, yet there was something about Y/N that softened him in a way he had never expected.

Y/N had joined the team a few months prior, the only woman in an elite unit of soldiers. She was smart, quick on her feet, but painfully shy, often retreating into herself when the banter of the men turned too rough. Price admired her resilience, and beneath the layers of team camaraderie, he felt a connection brewing—a silent acknowledgment of something unspoken between them.

One quiet evening, after a particularly long day of training exercises, Y/N, feeling a strange urge to confront her feelings, decided to visit Price's office. She hesitated outside the door, heart pounding in her chest. The thought of him stirred something within her—a mix of admiration and longing that had been building over time.

She took a deep breath and opened the door, stepping inside without thinking. What she saw sent her heart racing. Price sat in his chair, the dim light throwing shadows across his chiseled jawline. He looked caught in a moment of vulnerability, his hand moving in a way that activated a heat in the pit of her stomach she had never known before. It was an overwhelming wave of desire that crashed over her, making her breathless. She felt an urge to close the door and step closer, to explore what that pull meant.

He hadn't noticed her at first, lost in his own rhythm, but as the door clicked shut behind her, he looked up, his eyes widening in surprise. The air in the room shifted, thickening with an undeniable tension. Price's gaze traveled down her body, and for a moment, they were locked in an understanding that transcended words."Y/N," he said, his voice a mixture of shock and something else—something darker, more instinctual.

"What are you doing here?" She swallowed hard, suddenly aware of how vulnerable she felt, yet an unfamiliar boldness swirled within her. "I... I wanted to talk," she managed, her voice barely above a whisper. But the sight of him, the way he composed himself, and the intensity in his eyes ignited something primal inside her. Price leaned back in his chair, the hint of a smirk tugging at his lips.

"About what? Seems like you walked in on something private." His teasing tone only heightened the flames of embarrassment and arousal coursing through her. "I didn't mean to interrupt," she stammered, heat rushing to her cheeks.

"I just... I thought... I don't know." The energy in the room crackled dangerously, and she could see the shift in his demeanor—his previous surprise giving way to an undeniable hunger.

"You know, Y/N," he said, leaning forward, "you don't always have to hide. It's okay to want things."Her breath hitched in her throat, the weight of his words sinking in as she took a step closer. The space between them felt electric, charged with an unspeakable tension. Y/N's heart raced as she ventured into uncharted territory, her body responding instinctively to his presence.

"I... I want you," she whispered, her cheeks burning with the admission.

The confession hung in the air like a tangible thing, and Price's gaze darkened with desire. "Then let me show you what that means," he replied, his voice low and inviting. In that moment, everything else faded away. The mission, the squad, the rules that governed their lives—all of it became irrelevant.

Y/N stepped forward, her heart pounding in rhythm with the building storm of emotions between them. No longer just Captain and subordinate, but something raw, something electric that pulled them toward one another, ready to discover the depths of their connection.
