Around 200years ago, the time when technology was still at the middle stages.
A human found a gate in a forbidden zone on Earth. The moment he reported about the gate and the way it looked like, scientists swarmed around it so as to be able to analyze if it's has a function or if it's related to any ancient civilization.
But tampering with the unknown was very dangerous.
After trying an experiment on the gate, the gate began to awaken. Then all of a sudden, as that gate awokened, other huge gates just like it began to awaken, then the left their former location and moved to the center of each city in the world.
Some thought it was the end of the world for when the gates were awakedned, the sky became red as thunder crackled all around the world. It was like hell on Earth that day.
Then once the sky went back to normal, the brave ones moved closer to the gates, only to realize that the gate had a slight opening, actually all the gates were slightly opened just enough for one person to go in at once.
As they went in one by one, they realized the horrors that were beyond their wildest dreams.
Great creatures of unknown origin, mythical creatures that we all called myths. And a world that held great and troubling dangers, but also a world of opportunities and great fortune.
Technology, useless.

Technology was just a complete waste of time and energy in that world, a gun won't be able to scrap off dirt from the ground. A missle cannot kill even the weakest beast in here. Everything was futile.
Until the day a human finally did an amazing features by killing the weakest ranked creature in that world.
He found a crystal like object in it's body, and it actually turned out that it was a madman who killed the beast.
But after picking up the crystal embedded in the beast's heart, he stupidly and idiotically dropped it in his mouth and began to crunch on it.
That immediately marked the Advent of the first Geno system.

Immediately this was discovered and was revealed to the world. Many began swarming the gate like moths attracted to flies, especially the webnovel readers.
Eventually, everyone began calling the entrance ( gates) the Geno gates. While they called the world inside of the Geno gates, the Geno world, the place where legends truly exist.
Even signs of the mythological creatures and God's have been found in this world. Like the great Sun Wukong, or Typheaous the Greek fiery giant with a thousand snake heads and hands.
Humans began using this world frovthe purpose of gaining a Geno system, so as to be able to increase their strengths and their life-spans.
After about a year, Humans were finally able to conquer a few territories in the Geno world and built residents in those territories all over the Geno world.
They used those territories to build residents and amazingly enough, the Geno gate somehow connected itself to the residents. Making anyone who goes into the Geno world, automatically be transported into a room in one of the residents randomly, inadvertently decreasing the amount of deaths occuring all over the Geno world.
Since the residents were scattered all over the Geno world, some decided to call it countries of the Geno world, even if they haven't explored everywhere in the Geno world.
Heck! According to the database analysis of the Geno world, humans haven't even completely explored thirty percent of this place, prompting people not to call it countries and leave the name to be residents. But humans still had the prospect of conquering all of the Geno world and one day being back at the top of the food chain again.
After seven years since the appearance of the Geno gates, any other person who comes into the Geno world awaiting to gain a system would no longer be able to.
It seemed like after those seven years, cores no longer have the ability to grant one a Geno system anymore.
But luckily enough, about only one percent of the human population that doesn't have a Geno system, it may sound small, but that already made society to have another category for people.
It was no longer rich or poor, it was now system or systemless. Humans and trash, that was the new category of society.
All those without a system are always looked down upon while those with system are regular or powerful.
But thank the gods for the fact that there are such things as genetics. Once someone with a system gives birth, the child would usually inherit a system attributing to the type of system either one of the parents have.
Though, there are some rare cases where a child could gain a different kind of system completely opposite to that of his or her parents. Or the child could just gsain the combination of both system.
Though to gain such a chance, you had better be good in bed or the proper amount of xy chromosomes needed might not be sufficient.(+_+)
Two hundred more years then passed by quickly, allowing humans the time needed to evolve and be completely modernized, a time where spaceial travel is possible along with teleportation.
Proper armour and weapons readyly made for the killing of beasts and very strong Geno warriors.
It was a time when the future had already become the present.
Many clans and families had risen and fallen in that span of two hundred years. Government was already outdated and no longer something that existed.
Only those on the Geno family rankings truly rule the world.
The ranking is based on how powers your family is. The more powerful that family is, the more wealthy and influential you are, allowing your rank on the ranking list to increase.
The Rico family, which were ranked seventh on the Geno family rankings out of the thousands of families.
The Rico family was known for their powerful golden ape systems which granted them raw physical strength, along with great defense.
They were known for suppressing those who they felt were weak. But the fact also states that even though they have a lot of strength and we're expected to be dum, they were very much more intelligent than most scientists and that was only for their children at six years old. The adults are at another realm of smarts.
Their territory alone was a continent! With hundreds of families under their rule, and millions upon millions of humans below them.
At the main resident of the Rico family, as in their mansion. Which was the size of a city. Had so many rooms and work places that it could host ten thousand people at once and easily at that.
There was an isolated room in the whole city size mansion, where no worker and family member was allowed to go according to the head of the Rico family.
Inside of that room was a young man with disheveled hair along with rags for clothes. Blood stained his body and clothes, it even stained the chains that bounded him in place like a criminal.
His nails unkept, long and dirty. His body skinny and malnuritied so much so that the outline of his bones were very visible. He seemed to have suffered hell.
His name was Samin Rico, the first child of the head of the Rico family. Liam Rico.
