The little girl, Minato, watched as Nami introduced herself. While Nami shared her name, Minato didn't say her family name because her father had forbidden it. Her father had said that revealing their family name could attract unwanted attention from pirates, marines, or even the World Government. So, to stay safe, the family had to remain low-key, and none of them went to sea.
Minato lived quietly on their family island. Her brothers, including Aizen, would occasionally venture out to sea for supplies. Aizen was particularly impressive; he was very capable and never caused trouble for their father, who relied on him heavily.
When Nami heard this, she seemed curious and said, "You're such a cute little sister. But why did your father name you Minato? If I hadn't seen you, I would have thought you were a boy."
Minato wasn't sure why her father chose the name Minato. It did sound like a boy's name, but she had grown used to it over the years.
Changing the topic, Nami asked, "What's the name of the brother you're looking for, and where is he?"
Minato replied with a smile, "My brother's name is Orochimaru. He's supposed to be going to Shimotsuki Village. But I don't know where that is. Do you?"
Minato had seen Orochimaru leave their family island alone. She followed him because she wanted to join him on his journey. She had asked him to take her along for some fun, but Orochimaru said he was going to Shimotsuki Village on business and didn't want to bring her. Minato wasn't convinced. If her brother could go out and explore, she thought she should be able to as well.
Having explored every part of the island and knowing nothing about the outside world, Minato had set out in a small boat. But she got lost in the vast sea, surrounded by nothing but water.
Nami thought for a moment. She had never been to Shimotsuki Village but figured it was probably a small village where someone might know about it. She reassured Minato, "Don't worry. I'll help you find it after I finish my business. It shouldn't take long."
Nami was close to gathering enough money to settle her deal with Captain Arlong and escape her difficult situation.
Minato looked relieved and grateful. She was clearly anxious and unfamiliar with the sea. Finding help in such a confusing situation made her feel touched. She hugged Nami, reaching only up to Nami's waist.
Nami was surprised by the child's sudden hug. It was nice to feel so needed, reminding her of her own past. She wished she could have had someone to depend on back then. Unfortunately, her own mother, Bellemere, had been hurt by Captain Arlong, leaving Nami with sad memories.
Nami had once had money to give to Arlong but chose to use it to help herself and her sister, Nokigao, instead. Nokigao wasn't her biological sister, but their bond was even stronger. Both had lost their parents in a pirate attack and were taken in by Bellemere, a Marine who became their adoptive mother.
Minato, feeling Nami's comforting presence, thought of her own family. Her family had many members with special abilities, passed down through her father's bloodline. Minato had a four-star template and had recently mastered powerful techniques like the Flying Thunder God Technique and Rasengan.
Her brothers were even stronger, with some having five-star or six-star templates. Her family was incredibly powerful, and she had heard about other powerful figures like the Marine Admirals and the pirate emperors, but she believed her family might be stronger.
Minato had mastered the Flying Thunder God Technique, which allowed her to teleport and surprise enemies, and Rasengan, a powerful spinning energy attack. Though she couldn't yet match her father's full power, she was skilled.
Her brother, Orochimaru, who also had a four-star template, was strong and had abilities like summoning the dead. Minato's other brothers, Hashirama and Madara, had five-star templates and could summon giant creatures. She had seen Madara's giant blue creature and had a tough fight with Hashirama's summoned forest.
Despite her skills, her six-star template brother, Aizen, was even more formidable. Minato knew that even with her abilities, escaping from Aizen would be nearly impossible.
Seeing Nami's beauty and kindness, Minato thought of how her father had brought many wonderful mothers into their family. With a smile, she asked, "Sister Nami, would you like to marry my father and become my new mother?"
