However, deep in his mind, an ember glowed bright. Sam was out there somewhere, a tellurian timekeeper, and perhaps her sacrifice isn't the end but the beginning. He had to believe it. There had to be a way to bring her back.
As he browsed in the archives, he found an old book on which his interest lay. A haul of old knowledge, it held information on temporal constructs and forgotten rituals. It was hiding among the dust mounds in some pages with a mention of "Chrono Nexus." The word said that this mythical point in time lay beyond conventional reality. It is claimed that at the Nexus, one could change the very stuff of which time is made: past, present, and future converge into one singularity.
"Could it be?" Finn whispered to himself, his mind spinning with possibilities. "Could I reach her?"
Determined, he began piecing together a plan. If there was any way to gain access to the Chrono Nexus, perhaps he could find Sam and bring her back from whatever state she had now come to inhabit. With painstaking care, Finn gathered the components he needed—the time crystals, energy converters, and trinkets and keep-sakes of lost technology that the Nexus had accumulated over the millennia.
