Chapter 73 - The Ultimate Showdown – Ah Si vs. Tang San

Tang San activated the Purple Demon Eyes, his upper body slightly hunched. As a ripping sound echoed, the Eight Spider Lances burst from his back, glowing with a bright purple light, instantly increasing his attack power and speed by 50%.

"What is that thing?" In the Emperor Team's resting area below, the team members couldn't identify Tang San's external spirit bone due to its resemblance to the Blue Silver Grass absorbed from the Man-Faced Demon Spider.

"Lan Si, you've used your third spirit ability twice already. How much spirit power do you have left now?"

A cold gleam flashed through Tang San's eyes as the blue light from his Purple Demon Eyes traced through the air like two fire serpents. His eight legs moved rapidly, leaving a trail of purple afterimages as he closed in on Lan Si in the blink of an eye.

Four of the spider lances stabbed into the ground, while the other four, sharp and menacing, aimed directly at Lan Si's arms and shoulders.

"Your speed is far inferior to that of the Soul Devouring Spider," Lan Si said calmly, without a trace of panic, before vanishing just as Tang San's spider lances were about to pierce him, activating a powerful blink ability.

"Don't think you can run. I can now see through your movements," Tang San smirked as he glanced to his right. His eyes flared with two blue light serpents, and his eight lances moved rapidly, chasing after Lan Si's new position.

Lan Si dodged Tang San's attacks with ease, retreating while speaking in a relaxed tone, "So what if you can see me? As long as you can't hit me, what use is your vision?"

Lan Si's own eyes flickered with a similar light, though his were not trained like Tang San's Purple Demon Eyes, but an innate ability gained when his Green Lotus Martial Spirit fused with the Supreme Heaven and Earth Technique. His Green Fire Eyes significantly enhanced his dynamic vision, a skill that once allowed him to battle the 2500-year-old Soul Devouring Spider with ease.

Below the stage, Qin Ming led the Emperor Team out of their box, while the Shrek Academy team watched the battle on stage in awe.

The host in the air exclaimed, "Is this really just a battle between Soul Elders?"

The entire arena was in shock. Only Flender, Zhao Wuji, and Qin Ming, all far more powerful, could track the two fighters' movements, while everyone else could barely follow the blurred afterimages.

Even the strongest Emperor Team member, Yu Tianheng, couldn't keep up.

"Teacher Qin Ming, can you see Ah Si and Tang San's movements?" asked Dugu Yan.

"Barely," Qin Ming smiled wryly, surprised at just how strong Lan Si and Tang San were, especially with Tang San revealing the external spirit bone, a trump card no one had expected.

As the conversation continued, Qin Ming caught Flender and Zhao Wuji's gaze and nodded respectfully.

Flender smiled back, while Yu Xiaogang (Grandmaster) asked, "You two know the leader of the Emperor Team?"

Zhao Wuji grinned, "Yeah, we go way back. No wonder 'I Love Eating Rabbit Meat' didn't go all out; he's got a connection to us beyond just Zhuqing. He won't hurt your disciple, Grandmaster."

Grandmaster's face tightened, coldly saying, "Humph. Xiao San is on the offensive right now. The outcome is still undecided, and Xiao San has yet to reveal all his cards."

Zhao Wuji rolled his eyes. Despite respecting Grandmaster due to Flender, he had little patience for the man's arrogance.

Flender noticed and quickly stepped in to calm things down, patting Zhao Wuji on the shoulder and speaking softly, "Come on, don't get mad. He didn't mean anything by it."

"Fine, but only because it's you, Flender," Zhao Wuji grumbled before focusing back on the fight.

Back on stage, Tang San continued controlling the Eight Spider Lances, chasing after Lan Si, but after a while, he hadn't even grazed him. In contrast, Tang San's own spirit power was starting to drain.

"Are you only going to run?" Tang San stopped, glaring coldly at Lan Si.

"And are you only going to rely on external tools to fight me?" Lan Si retorted, equally dismissive.

"I won't use the Eight Spider Lances anymore. Do you dare stand still and fight me?" Tang San said, a sly smirk curling on his lips.

"Sure," Lan Si agreed without hesitation. He had trained with throwing techniques and was adept at spotting the trajectories of hidden weapons.

Tang San said nothing more, reaching into his Twenty Four Moonlit Bridges pouch, his hands moving at blinding speed as countless needles, knives, and other hidden weapons shot toward Lan Si.

These weapons were coated in a strange purple glow, clearly laced with poison.
