"Who… who is that?" Sophia whispered, her voice trembling.
Aris didn't respond, his eyes never leaving the figure on the ship, the dragon still looming above him, waiting. 'The Commander?!' Aris shouted in confusion. his mind wrapping in confusion on his presence.
"Aris?" Sophia questioned, to get an attention to Aris's face. Somehow managing to old herself in without and questioning glance
Snap's eyes were printed with disgust at that scene. Disgust so clear that even Sophia got an eerie feeling at a sight of it.
That awful old daggered raiding ship. Aboard with a person that glimmered with an even more awful smile. Spread along his old board bearded face.
"Vælkomin!!" the Commander raged on in his even older Northern tongue. "It looks as if you and Snap are still fighting over your annoying glances…" The commander announced in clearly mocking tone.
He grinned, his hands rising as if grasping the hollow air. The hollow air thickened in his gasp, boiling from the immense pressure his gigantic hands applied. Seconds passed, his northern ship edged ever so close and suddenly, the sky seemed to tear apart as the compressed air shattered like fabric ripped from reality. Black shadows poured through the rift, tendrils weaving from the loosen fabric.
With a mighty pull, the commander thrusted his hands through the shadows, gripping something enormous and solid. As the air twisted and groaned under the pressure, he pulled—a colossal doubled sided axe, emerging with its sharp edges that tore through the space.
The commander flung the massive battle axe over his shoulder with ease; the axe gently bouncing off his
Drako Wolf Skin, with an adding thunderous leap, he jumped off from the ship. He landed in the crumbling chamber below with a deafening CRASH, the ground beneath him shattering. Dust and debris exploded outward, swirling in the air.
His piercing stern eyes and turning to Aris and Snap.
The commander's voice exploded, his anger snapping into fits of rage. "SNAP, you are his aunt! You ought to know better than to let things get this out of control! And YOU, Aris!" His hand pointed toward Aris, who flinched slightly, but stood his ground. "What in the hell do you think you're doing? You drag her through chaos like she's just some bystander! She's not! She's part of this world now! And instead of showing her any kind of guidance, you treat her like a burden? What do you have to say for yourself, Aris?"
Aris clenched his fists. "I'm trying—"
"YOU'RE TRYING?" the commander roared, his voice shaking the crumbling walls. "Trying isn't enough, boy! You need to lead! You need to protect her! She deserves more than your half-hearted efforts. She's not some stray you picked up—she's important. It's time you both woke up and treated her as such!"
"But she's a Custodian!" Aris muttered under his breath. "At least, not in the true sense…"
Snap's smirk faded under the commander's wrath. She said nothing but shifted uncomfortably as the Commander grinned to her face.
The Commander's expression softened as he turned to Sophia. "Lady Sagittarius…" His voice took on a kindness absent from his dealings with Aris and Snap. "As Commander of the Northern Hend Breach, I apologize on behalf of my Custodians, Aris and Snap. I imagine you're confused about everything that's happening. They aren't the best at communicating with anyone outside the Custodians."
"No… Sir;" Sophia squeaked hiding her face from the shame of being pleaded too. He had known no though of luck of shame. It was true that she had hatred for Aris; but it wasn't beyond her point that she wanted it to be corrected.
"Commander if I may ask, may I know the contents which bring me hear…" Sophia sped up. "Would it be possible for return to my house…"
"I know this may be rude to ask of too Lady Sophia… But I would like for you to remain in the Custodian Breach for a bit longer." The Commander replied. with a convincing 'no' that Sophia for some reason accepted without a ply.
"That will do," Sophia squeezed but gave another plea, "At least may I have a change of Clothes." She squeezed her voice not high rather low with stinging undertone of increased embarrassment.
"Sure; if that is your Wish!" The commander placed his words with a thick ruched voice.
"Thank you…. Sir?" Sophia questioned; unable to get a name to which she could assign a meaning to the clam gentleman who Aris and Snap called nothing but the Commander.
"Commander Alex Anderson." The Commander annexed with a loud smile; "It's also a pleasure to meet you;
Lady Sophia Sagittarius"
Sophia didn't produce any kind of affirmative reaction, rather just gave a confused nod to her face.
"ARIS!!" The commander called out his name in all sense of honesty.
"Aris, take Lady Sophia to the Breach of your Order," the Commander commanded. Aris responded with a large, somewhat forced smile, clearly uninterested in speaking.
"Aren't you going to explain anything to her?" Snap asked with a quiet smirk.
"Aris can handle it," the Commander replied.
"Hey!" Aris muttered, still avoiding eye contact with the Commander.
"YOU WILL!" the Commander insisted, his voice firm. Aris, without further protest, nodded in reluctant acceptance.
"Commander Alex," Sophia spoke softly, her voice seeking clarification. "I don't mean to be rude, but I'd like to understand more about what's happening to me."
"Of course, Lady Sagittarius," the Commander replied in a straightforward tone. "I would gladly explain everything to you, but due to certain circumstances, I can't do so right now. Don't worry. I'm sure Aris will be an excellent guide for you."
"If you say so…" Sophia replied, still uncertain.
Sophia was sure on her mind that the only thing she was going to hear was growing sounds of Aris's complains about her for hours until she got a meeting with the Commander itself. But for Now even the slightest of the reason would be the greatest help for her. He wasn't the best to have around as a teacher or a communicator, But ever since she had witness the battle between Aris and Snap; Aris was just a tad bit accepting of her. Which may just change her outlook towards him.
