The sound of Whitebeard's booming voice echoed across Marineford, shaking the very foundations of the battlefield, Kai's eyes snapped open, his chest heaving with a violent surge of emotion.

"THE ONE PIECE... IS REAL!"

Whitebeard's final proclamation reverberated in Kai's skull, a scream that cemented the moment in history. But for Kai, it wasn't just a declaration—it was a reminder of his failure. His body froze as reality set in.

Ace is dead.

The brother of the future Pirate King—Luffy's brother—was gone.

It hit Kai like a tidal wave, far worse than any physical wound Kizaru had inflicted on him. How long had he been out? How long had he been lying there, useless, while Luffy and Ace fought for their lives? It hurt him the most as it cemented, that Kai, Didn't do anything, He didn't change anything, His entire existence was nothing more then a useless Extra, But he will not Have it, The Elden Lord will not accept this

Suddenly, a crackling energy flared to life inside him. His body jolted as his unlimited FP ignited, fueled by the seething fury bubbling up from his very core. His once calm, calculated demeanor shattered.

With a surge of raw magic, Kai shot to his feet, every inch of his body crackling with power. The very ground trembled as the arcane energy surged outward, catching the attention of everyone around him. Marines and pirates alike stopped, staring in shock at the man they had presumed dead—the man killed by an admiral.

His magic raged like an untamed storm, blue energy swirling around him in brilliant arcs, enveloping him in an ethereal aura. He didn't need to see it, but the onlookers could see it clearly—his hair had turned a vivid, electric blue, and surrounding him were dozens of crystalline formations, their sharp edges glowing ominously.

Without a moment's hesitation, the crystals shot forth from his staff—Crystal Barrage. They exploded outward like a storm of deadly hail, tearing through the ranks of Marines. Screams filled the air as soldiers fell, one after another, unable to stand against the overwhelming magic assault.

"KIZARUUUUUU!" Kai's voice boomed across the battlefield, a primal roar fueled by his grief and anger.

Up on the high ground, the admiral in question narrowed his eyes, a slight grin forming on his lips. The initial shock of seeing Kai rise from the dead wore off, replaced by that signature cocky smirk. Kizaru's golden light flickered as he stood tall, observing the chaos Kai was wreaking on the battlefield.

"So the little lord survives," Kizaru said, his voice carrying that lazy, mocking tone as if nothing surprised him. He casually adjusted his yellow coat, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "I suppose I'll have to kill you again."

The battlefield was pure chaos.

The Whitebeard Pirates, in retreat, were being pursued relentlessly by the Marines, with Akainu at the forefront, ruthlessly chasing down any stragglers. Blackbeard's pirates clashed violently with Sengoku, causing further destruction in the collapsing landscape of Marineford. Akainu, despite his earlier defeat by Whitebeard, had risen again with murderous intent, his eyes locked on Luffy and Jinbei, who were desperately trying to flee.

Kai's eyes burned with anger. He was too late for Ace, but he wouldn't let another life slip through his fingers.

Without hesitation, Kai raised his staff , and a series of spells erupted from his hands. Star Shower, rained down from the sky, striking down the Marines surrounding him. The shimmering stars guided themselves with precision, piercing through armor and sending bodies crashing into the ground. He followed it up with Crystal Burst, which created an explosive shower of crystals, tearing through more ranks, leaving shattered stone and broken men in his wake. Finally, he unleashed Cannon of Haima, launching an explosive, magical cannonball into the fray. The ground trembled as Marines were blown away by the sheer force of the impact, leaving craters where soldiers once stood.

Bodies hit the ground as the spells cleared the immediate area, but Kai's eyes were locked on something else. Akainu was closing in on Luffy and Jinbei, his molten fist burning with intent to kill. Without thinking, Kai vanished in a blur of blue magic, teleporting himself between the pirate duo and the magma fist just as it descended.

Clang!

Kai's cleanrot knight's sword blocked Akainu's punch, but the heat from the magma radiated through the blade. Akainu's eyes narrowed, surprised by the sudden appearance. This was no normal sword—no Haki reinforced its edge, but the sword held strong. Magic crackled along the length of the weapon, imbued with the power of Scholar's Armament, its sharp edge glowing with a deep blue light. The spell infused Kai's blade, giving it the strength to match even the dreaded Magma-Magma Fruit.

Akainu pushed harder, forcing Kai to grit his teeth as the immense pressure of the admiral's attack threatened to break his defense. The heat was suffocating, but Kai held firm for a few crucial seconds. In those moments, his mind raced—he needed an opening.

With a flash of energy, Kai summoned Gavel of Haima. A massive, magical hammer materialized beside him, and in a split second, it swung with tremendous force. The hammer crashed into Akainu's side, momentarily breaking his focus. Before the admiral could react, Kai followed up with Great Glintstone Shard, a massive shard of gleaming magic that shot forward, striking Akainu square in the chest and sending him flying backward.

It wasn't enough to take the monster that is Akainu down, but it created just the opportunity Jinbei needed. With a swift movement, Jinbei hoisted the unconscious Luffy onto his back and leaped into the distance, racing toward safety. The Whitebeard Pirates captains rushed in, standing between Akainu and his prey.

Kai's chest heaved, his bloodshot eyes scanning the battlefield for his next target. His rage continued to fuel him, his vision narrowing. Kizaru.

The man of light hovered above the battlefield, lazily surveying the chaos with that infuriating grin. His smugness only ignited Kai's fury even further. He wouldn't let Kizaru escape, not after everything. Magic surged through his veins once more, faster and more potent than ever before.

Without hesitation, Kai unleashed Shard Spiral, two spiraling shards of energy that shot up toward Kizaru from opposite sides. The admiral's eyes flicked with momentary surprise, but his reaction was swift. He dodged the spirals effortlessly, releasing beams of light down at Kai in retaliation. The air crackled with energy as the beams seared through the space between them.

But Kai was prepared.

Thops's Barrier materialized in front of him just in time, absorbing the light-based attacks completely. The barrier shimmered for a moment before vanishing, having served its purpose. Kizaru's lazy grin faltered slightly as Kai activated another spell—Terra Magica. A magical zone formed beneath his feet, amplifying his magic power exponentially. His eyes glowed with the intensity of the spell as he began firing off a relentless barrage of Great Glintstone Shards, the massive projectiles flying toward Kizaru like missiles.

Kizaru dodged with the ease of a man not yet trying. His movements were fluid, the light around him warping as he shifted through space. Kai's attacks slammed into the ground below, causing massive damage to the surrounding area—buildings collapsed, and more Marines were caught in the crossfire. The sheer destruction made it clear that while Kizaru was avoiding the direct hits, each spell packed enough force to cause catastrophic damage to everything else.

But still, Kizaru remained elusive.

Kai's fury grew as he realized that his spells, powerful as they were, weren't enough to bring the admiral down. Kizaru wasn't even trying his hardest, simply dodging the attacks with the bare minimum effort. The frustration gnawed at Kai

....

Amidst the chaos of the battlefield, the relentless fighting continued to escalate. Marines clashed with pirates, neither side showing any signs of stopping despite the war's original goal being met. Whitebeard was dead, and Ace, too, had fallen. Yet, Sengoku and Garp were still locked in combat with Blackbeard's crew, and Akainu relentlessly pursued the retreating Whitebeard Pirates, determined to wipe them out completely.

But for one young Marine, the sight before him was unbearable. Koby stood frozen amidst the carnage, his wide eyes filling with tears as he watched the bodies of both Marines and pirates fall around him. His hands trembled as the screams of the wounded filled the air, men on both sides left to die while the fight needlessly continued. The Marines had achieved their goal—the death of Gol D. Roger's son, but the war raged on, as if nothing could ever be enough.

Koby's heart pounded in his chest, his breath ragged as his emotions welled up, overpowering him. This wasn't justice. This wasn't what he'd joined the Marines for.

And as he watched Akainu ruthlessly chase after the fleeing Whitebeard Pirates—chase after men who no longer wanted to fight—something inside Koby snapped.

With all the strength he could muster, Koby raised his voice, his body shaking with fear but driven by a desperate sense of rightness.

"STOP IT!!" he screamed, tears streaming down his face. "Stop the fighting!!!"

His voice, raw with emotion, pierced through the noise of the battlefield, loud enough to catch the attention of several nearby Marines and pirates alike. Koby stumbled forward, crying out again, his voice cracking under the weight of his words.

"We've already accomplished our goal! We don't need to keep killing!" he shouted, his gaze locking onto the advancing Marines. "Why are we still chasing them? These pirates don't want to fight anymore! They're running away!"

He fell to his knees, his hands gripping the earth as he looked around at the bodies strewn across the battlefield. "There are injured Marines everywhere, people who need help! And we're abandoning them, chasing after more death and destruction!" Koby's voice shook with grief, his tears falling freely now as he pleaded with his fellow Marines.

"This is senseless! This isn't justice—this is slaughter!" His cries echoed through the battlefield, carrying a truth so raw it made those who heard it stop, even if only for a moment. His heart was heavy with the weight of all the lives lost—Marine and pirate alike.

Koby's words cut through the noise, his desperate plea reaching ears that had long since been deafened by the din of war. His small frame trembled with fear, but his resolve was unwavering.

"I don't want any more people to die..." His voice cracked, almost a whisper now, as he stared at the bodies littering the ground. "... Not Marines... Not pirates..."

Koby's heartfelt cry, his raw emotion and courage in the face of overwhelming fear, momentarily caused a ripple of hesitation across the battlefield, his words struck a chord. Many of the Marines lowered their weapons, the weight of Koby's speech sinking in. The battlefield began to grow quieter, as if his plea for peace had managed to reach the hearts of those fighting. For a brief moment, it seemed like the senseless killing would come to an end.

But not everyone was swayed.

Akainu's eyes narrowed, his expression turning cold as he dismissed Koby's words. With a voice dripping with disdain, the admiral spat, "Wasting precious seconds. We Marines have no need for weaklings like you."

Akainu raised his magma-infused fist, intent on ending Koby's life without hesitation. His fist shot forward, molten and burning, ready to erase the young Marine from existence for his perceived weakness.

But his attack never landed.

In the blink of an eye, another blade intercepted Akainu's fiery fist, blocking the strike. The air around them grew heavy as the figure standing between Koby and Akainu made his presence known.

There, with a calm yet commanding aura, stood Shanks, the captain of the Red-Hair Pirates and one of the Four Emperors of the sea. His sword, Gryphon, gleamed in the light as he effortlessly deflected the magma punch. His crew, standing behind him, was ready to shift the entire tide of the battle.

Yonko Shanks had arrived.
