Chapter 113 - A horde of D-rank mystic beasts was spotted nearby!

Meanwhile, back in Lunalith...

"You sent the kid to a dangerous place. Don't you think you went too far?" Elder Tyron said, his voice filled with concern as he spoke to Sect Leader Conri.

They sat together, drinking tea under the moonlight.

"He's strong enough it's just investigation, Tyron," Sect Leader Conri replied calmly.

"He might be strong for his age, but he's still a kid and lacks experience," Tyron insisted.

"He's gaining experience this way. Don't worry too much about him—he'll be fine," Conri reassured his friend.

"At what realm do you think that kid is now?" Conri asked Elder Tyron, testing his insight.

"Maybe peak Newborn Realm," Tyron guessed, though uncertainty tinged his voice.

"Not quite. I've been watching the boy over the past days, and I can tell without a doubt that Oasis is at the intermediate stage of the Tabula-Rasa Realm, and his spiritual energy is even above that," Conri revealed.

!!!

"What? That's impossible at his age," Tyron exclaimed, clearly shocked.

"Is he really that talented? Is his talent on par with Zion?"

"I think he's even more talented than that. This kid is a different breed," Conri said with a knowing smile.

They continued talking about Oasis for some time.

From Sect Leader Conri's perspective, sending Oasis on this mission had a purpose: to develop his diplomatic and Espionage skills.

Dawnhail was the perfect region for such growth, a place where he could learn the complexities of negotiation, strategy, and survival in a less controlled environment than Lunalith.

Elder Tyron, deep in thought after their conversation, couldn't help but ponder the kind of monsters they were nurturing in Lunalith.

The talents of these young disciples were beyond belief.

Zion, already at the Awakened Realm, Oasis at the Tabula-Rasa Realm, and Zane at the peak of the Newborn Realm—all three were achieving feats unimaginable to ordinary cultivators.

Most would reach these realms in their early 30s or late 20s if they were exceptionally talented and hardworking,

yet Zion had reached the Awakened Realm at just 17, and Oasis had already advanced to the Tabula-Rasa Realm before his early 20s.

The Bluemoon family was indeed blessed, but the magnitude of their talents was something that even the elders of Lunalith found hard to comprehend.

Yawn!!!

"That hit the spot," Oasis said aloud as he stretched, waking up from a restful sleep.

Looking out the window, he noticed the cloudy sky.

"Wow, it's cloudy today," he thought. "It's about time I start investigating."

Oasis dressed in another set of simple clothing to blend in,

similar to what he wore when he entered the town—a tunic and pants along with boots, but in different colors.

He made his way downstairs, greeting the young woman who was busy arranging the tables in the inn.

He had woken up before the inn officially opened.

Offering to help, Oasis assisted in setting up the tables while the woman prepared some food for him and the guard who was already there.

A few moments later, the inn was ready for the day, and Oasis's breakfast was served.

He sat by a table near the window, which offered a view of the bustling street outside.

As the inn opened, people began coming in and out, purchasing various items, some choosing to sit and eat while others took their food to go.

"This food definitely hits the spot," Oasis thought as he dug into his meal.

!!!

A commotion outside caught his attention.

Oasis finished his last bite, thanked the young woman for the meal, and headed out to see what was happening.

"A horde of D-rank mystic beasts was spotted nearby! We are forming a party to detain them!" a man shouted, standing in the center of a gathering crowd.

"Those who join shall be compensated equally from the loot, and an initial joining payment of two gold coins will be given!"

Some of the townsfolk seemed eager to join, but the majority dispersed quickly after hearing the announcement.

"This doesn't sound good. I'm better off sticking to my shop," one man muttered to a friend as they walked away.

"Not worth risking my neck for wealth," a woman commented, heading back to her stall.

"Fools rushing into danger for quick gold," an older man scoffed, shaking his head as he returned to his business.

It was clear that most of the people in Belvan Town were not interested in risking their lives for fast income.

They preferred the safety of their daily routines over the dangers of the wild valleys.

Oasis approached the man making the announcement.

"Oh, Uncle, I'd like to join the party," Oasis said, catching the man's attention.

"Kid, it's too risky for you," the man replied, eyeing Oasis skeptically.

"I can take care of myself," Oasis insisted.

The man shook his head at first, but after a moment of thought, he relented.

"Alright, here kid," the man said, handing Oasis two gold coins.

"Wait for me at the north gate. The others are waiting there."

"But Uncle, what if I run off with your money without joining the party?" Oasis asked curiously.

The man chuckled darkly.

"Where would you run to in these valleys? I'll definitely find you."

"Or rather, if not me, some people will… or a beast might feast on you," he said, his tone carrying a veiled threat.

Oasis carefully noted the man's words, particularly when he mentioned "some people will." His curiosity was piqued.

"Okay, Uncle, I'll be waiting," Oasis replied before heading off.

"He said the north gate," Oasis thought. "The gate we used to enter the town was the south gate."

!!!

As he walked toward the north gate, Oasis noticed that some people were following him, blending seamlessly into the crowd.

They were clearly trying to keep a low profile, but Oasis wasn't fooled.

"Just small-time thieves," he thought, easily avoiding them as if he hadn't noticed their presence.

When he arrived at the north gate, the scene was bustling with activity.

Town guards were diligently checking everyone who entered and left the city, ensuring no one suspicious slipped through.

The gate itself was sturdy, with a large iron portcullis and a pair of wooden doors reinforced with metal bands.
