CHAPTER 8️⃣
GETTING MARRIED IN A MONTH
Gael and Carlos went back to their normal way of life.
They became the way they use to be before and Naomi seeing them together makes her happy.
She really envy their friendship a lot, they both act like brothers protecting each other but is this still going to be forever?.
They both woke up together and went to lectures together as usual and as they were going Naomi approach them.
"Hi" she said waving at Gael and he also wave back.
"Helo Carlos" she said and he only smile at her.
She approach Gael and held his hand and the three began walking together.
"There is this course I am having difficulty with and I would like you to teach me" she said to Gael.
"What course is that?" Gael ask her and she told him.
"Okay no problem, we can do that after today's lecture"
"Alright, where should we use, is it your place or mine?" She asked.
"We will talk about that after lecture" he said and they began walking talking about some other random stuffs till they get to the lecture room and they all enter.
As they enter they all separated and went to their various seats.
Carlos got to his seat and he put his headphone in his ear then he put his head on the desk and began listening to music.
Gael sat with his seatmate and she was about to start a conversation when she notice his eyes somewhere else.
She wondered where he is looking at and he trace his eyes then she realise it is Naomi.
Seeing this she became angry and jealous, though they don't talk much to each other at all but she wish she could have Gael all to herself one day but with Naomi there it will be hard for her to do that.
The girl name Linda and see came from a wealthy family, she is beautiful also but not up to Naomi.
Gael keep on staring at Naomi, he found her really beautiful and he saw himself falling deeply in love with her.
Naomi also could see herself stealing glances at him but when he look at her she will quickly avert her eyes.
After some minutes the lecturer came in and the lecture began.

Daren saw Elena hit her leg on the stone and wanted to fall but he ignore and went into his car and drove off.
Elena fell down on the floor hitting her butt on the floor.
Her leg hurts but she manage to stand up and went to board a cab then she went home.
She got home and on seeing her, her mother became worried.
"What happened dear, how did you get hurt?" Her mum asked worriedly.
"Mum it is nothing to worry about" she said and she went to her not walking well.
Her mum watch her as she leaves then she told someone to bring her the first aid kit then she went to her room.
She got to her room and met Elena wincing in pain.
She quickly rush to her and then she held her leg up and on seeing the injury she quickly took the first aid box and she began treating it.
After a while she was done and she gave her some painkiller drug for her to use.
She use it and her mum told her to rest and she adhere to it.
After making sure she is okay she went out of her room and went down to make dinner for the family.
She make sure she made dinner herself.
After some hours she was done and she went to call Elena down and she made her sit at the dinning.
She then serve the food and call the rest of the family and they all began eating.
After they were done eating they all went to sleep.

Daren got home also and did not even care about Elena at all, he did not call her at all instead he went to his room to take his bath as usual and he ate and sleep.

The next day, Elena made to go to work but her mum stop her from going so she had no choice but to stay at home.
Lydia got to the office and could not find Elena and she think she will come later.
After some minutes Daren came into the company and he went into he office ignoring his employees greetings.
Lydia wait for Elena to come but she did not come so she took her phone and call her.
"Hello babe, where have you been all day, why are you not at work?" She asked at once.
"Calm down babe, I am at home, I just feel a bit unwell that is why I couldn't come today"
"Wow, how is your body now? Or should I come there?" She asked worriedly.
"No, it is not something serious, it is just some leg injury" she said.
"Glad it is not much, make sure you are at work tomorrow"
"Sure, I will be at work" she said.
"Okay, bye, take care of yourslef"
"Okay" Elena said and the call was cut off.

Elena was at home not allowed to do anything, she was just in her room resting.
Her younger ones and mother were the ones who werefoing everything.
She hate being in one place doing nothing and she feels like a burden to them.
Later in the evening, she went downstairs and made to do something but her mother stop her.
"Mum why are you treating me like I am heal, I am perfectly fine, it is just the leg injury and it has gotten okay, you know I hate not doing anything"
"I won't allow you do anything, sit down and rest, if you feel bored take your phone and start operating it or you switch on the TV and began watching it" her mum said.
Knowing who her mum is she decided to sit down and she began doing operating her phone.
She feels like the next day should come so she could go to work as asual.

Daren was in his office working and he notice Elena's absence but he never let that affect him.
He continue his work like she doesn't exist.
Later in the afternoon, he went to some of his other companies to check how things are going there.
The employees over the companies heard he is coming so they began arranging themselves and not wanting to offend him the began cleaning the company making it look very neat and they make sure everything is in place.
He got to the companies and saw that things are going well there except for one in which the goods are almost finished.
He went to the managers office and as the manager saw him he began trembling.
"Why didn't call me to tell me about the goods" he asked angrily.
"I am sorry sir, I wanted to call you the next day to inform you" he said bowing.
"It seems you are not competent enough and you need replacement" he said and the manager on hearing this quickly knelt down and began begging him.
"I am really sorry sir, I will make sure I do my job well next time" he said and Daren look at him coldly.
"Make sure this never repeat itself or else I won't hesitate to fire you" he said with a warning tone and the manager was glad he still have his job.
"Thank you sir" he said and bowed but Daren ignore him and storm out of the office then he went into his car and drove back to the other comapny.
As for the goods which sink the other time, they made their findings and they realise that no one made the boat sink but it capsize on its own.
Daren got back to the company and went into his office then he finish his work and left for home.

Later in the evening Elena decided to take a stroll out and she went out and began strolling making her leg relieve her completely.
After walking for some hours she went back home and then he ate her dinner and went to sleep.

She woke up the next day more strong and she prepare for work and after dressing up she went downstairs and as her mum saw her she was surprised that she is going to work.
"Why can't you just rest for today also"
"No mum, I am not doing that, I have done your wish yesterday and I won't allow that today again" she said and her mum let her be.
"It is okay, just make sure you eat before going" she said.
Elena sat down and ate dinner then after eating she went out then she board a cab to the company and Lydia on seeing her rush to hug her.
"Wow I ma glad you are back, I miss you so much" she said.
"Stop being dramatic I was only absent for a day" she said.
"I know but I miss you so much, how is your leg now, I hope you are perfectly okay now" she said checking her out.
"I am okay, stop getting worried unnecessarily" she said.
"That is good" she said.
The other employees were just watching the both of them.
They were still there when Daren walk in and he saw Elena.
"Meet me in my office now" he said simply and went to his office.
Elena left Lydia and she went after him and they both entered into his office together.
He sat down and then spoke up.
"Why are you not at work yesterday?" He asked.
"You know I got injured and I need to rest for it to heal so you don't expect me to come to work"
"I don't give a damn about that, all I know is for you to work and if this repeat itself get ready to loose your job" he said angrily making Elena flinch.
"How could you be so heartless?"
"How dare you talk back at me" he said and move towards her and made to hit her when he stop.
Elena ran out of the office in fear and she went back to her office.
Daren sat down later and he began working.

AFTER A WEEK
It has been a week and Naomi realise she has fallen deeply in love with Gael and she wish he feels the same way for her.
Gael also has fallen deeply for her and he can't wait to confess his feelings for her.
After lecture that day he call Naomi to one side.
During this time saw the both of them and went to hide somewhere.
Seeing the both of them together made her really sad.
They got to a place and Gael face her.
"Naomi I would like to tell you something" he said.
"Go ahead am all ears" she said to him and Gael began.

Elena's father came home later and he was welcome.
He rested a bit then he call Elena telling her he want to tell her something.
She sat down and listen to what her father has to say.
"Elena, don't let this come as a shock to you, since you know already that you are bethroded to Daren so I would like to tell you that your wedding to him will be coming up in a month time" he dropped the bombshell and Elena was shocked.
