Chapter 6 - Coming of Age

They walked further for a while, passing the other knights who stood at attention on the sides of the corridor. Then, they both arrived in front of the courtroom's large, baronial door.

The two knights standing by the door pushed it open together and a loud croaking sound echoed, causing a hush to fall over the courtroom.

Jontel, the royal courier, took several steps forward and with a booming voice, announced, "Ladies and Gentlemen of the royal court, I present to you, Son Aeric of Starlight, First Son of Eros!"

All eyes turned to the door and to Aeric as he strode into the courtroom.

It was a majestic place. There were tall marble columns stretching high above, supporting a floridly carved ceiling. Chandeliers were on this ceiling and they poured golden rays in the entire room.

A long, crimson carpet ran from the entrance doors straight to the royal thrones, where Mother Guinevere sat in her regal attire, with her two daughters Misty and Rosette seated at her sides.

Aeric walked calmly, almost sauntering. His tall, handsome figure drew gasps from the onlookers, particularly from the women and girls gathered in the hall.

His eyes met theirs on occasion, and their smiles widened, several blushed, all at the sight of him—this dark-haired prince, cloaked in royal black and gold.

Some of the girls whispered excitedly to one another as he walked past, a few looked at him with expressionless faces but colorful thoughts, others were hardened, some had hidden disdain.

Whispers and murmurs reigned.

As Aeric got closer to the throne, he noticed Misty and Rosette giving him the usual cold glances. Misty was usually subtle with hers, but Rosette never cared to hide her disdain. She rolled her eyes, tapping her fingers impatiently at the armrest of her chair as she waited for him to come sit so this can be over already.

Mother Guinevere however, had a smile on her face that was warm and inviting, and her eyes gleamed with pride.

When Aeric arrived, she embraced him warmly, and for a moment, he suddenly realized her soft and plushy her large breasts were. Aeric's eyes widened and he cleared his throat, trying to lessen the awkwardness.

"Come, my son," Mother Guinevere said with a gentle voice. "Take your place at my side."

She gestured to the throne to her right, currently occupied by Rosette. "Rosette, darling, shift to the other seat," she ordered.

"What?" Daughter Rosette shot her mother a sharp look. "But Mother, this is my—"

"Today is not about you, Rosette," Guinevere interrupted with a tone that brook no argument. "It's about your brother. So take the next seat, now."

Rosette glared at Aeric, who gave her an innocent smile that only annoyed her more. With a huff of annoyance, she rose from her seat and begrudgingly moved to the other throne.

Aeric nodded gratefully and sat on the empty chair. He had learned to navigate the delicate tensions with his sisters over the years, especially with Rosette. All he had to do was speak little and act as though their contempt for him barely affected him.

That seemed to only make them hate him more at times.

Mother Guinevere raised her hand, silencing the murmurs, then motioned to Jontel to proceed.

"As is tradition on the eighteenth birthday of a Child of Eros," the courier began, "a Coming of Age celebration of is held. Aeric of Starlight, Son of Eros, must choose now one of these beautiful ladies to bed this night, as a mark of your transition into adulthood."

Aeric's eyes widened. 'What?'

No sooner had Jontel finished proclaiming that than the main event began. In a moment that felt all to sudden for the prince, a procession of beautiful young women entered the courtroom.

They arranged themselves in a manner that made all of them accessible to his eyes, wearing gowns of deep purple, blue, and gold, that were tight fitted to their voluptuous body or merely even covered it.

Large bouncy breasts, slim waists, flat bellies, puffy bellies, wide hips, thin hips, thick thighs, plum asses, tall legs, short legs, smooth skin, more and more and more.

Their faces were glowing and sultry, like they were begging for him to chose them. Some had sparkling jewels in their hair, others delicate flowers, but they all seemed to be sure in their craft. They all promised the best sexual experience to the prince if he decided to choose them.

It was clear in their seductive, depraved eyes, gleaming with undeniable lust for their God's Son's cock as they looked toward him, casting flirtatious glances his way, with smiles as delicate as their beauty.

Aeric blinked in surprise. 'Uh... are they serious?'

His crimson eyes scanned the lineup of women before him, then looked at his mother. Guinevere smiled at him, "Go ahead, son. This is your choice to make."

'My choice?' Aeric frowned. 'This is... crazy. I get too choose any of these... women? So this is what the Coming of Age ritual is? It's just a celebration of me losing my virginity? This means that for the Daughters, they had to pick from a group of men. That's just... ew.'

He looked at the women once again. 'Gosh, they're all so... sexy.'

With their soft smiles and eager expressions, the women seemed to wait with bated breath for his decision. Aeric's heart raced, seemingly out of excitement, but also because he found it difficult to choose.

He was certain that any of these women here would give the best night of both of his lives, so he could just pick anyone and it would be significantly better than jacking off himself.

But his eyes caught the emerald-green eyes of one of the women. She seemed slightly older than the others, with long her that fell down her shoulders, and a tight fitted silver and green grown that squeezed the heavy breasts she had right out of the cleavage, barely even covering the nipple.

She smiled seductively at Aeric, slightly blowing him a kiss and the Son could feel his cock harden a bit.

'Yep. That's who I want.'

He was about to stretch forth his hand and point to her when a sudden murmur in the crowd interrupted him.

The court began to stir. Heads turned, whispers grew louder, and a tension that seemed to have showed up for nowhere filled the walls.

Mother Quinevere's face hardened. "What is this disturbance?" she demanded, cutting through the silence.

A knight hurried to her side, bowing low. "My queen, there is… a Messenger. Inside the castle."

"A Messenger?" Mother Guinevere's face turned pale, but she quickly regained herself and ordered the knights to take Son Aeric inside and guard him at all costs.

"There is no need for all of that, Mother Guinevere."

At the far end of the hall, the figure of a Messenger appeared, cloaked in shimmering robes that caught the golden lights in unnatural ways. "I'm not here for your son. I only bring a decree from Eros himself."

The crowd gasped, and Guinevere stood up instantly, stretching forth her hand as flames licked on the skin of her palm, she was ready to blast it if provoked. "A decree?"

The Messenger's eyes widened with caution. "Indeed. If you will just lay down your sword and tell your knights to do the same, I will go ahead."

Guinevere hesitated. But Aeric held her by the hand and she looked down at him. Once she met his face, her heart softened and he nodded at her assuringly. Guinevere took down her hand and gestured at her knights to do the same.

"You may go ahead," she said.

Satisfied, the Messenger unfurled a scroll that was glowing faintly with a magical energy, and he began to read:

"By the will of the God Eros, ruler of Erothyria and Father of all, it is hereby declared that in light of the birth of Aeric of Starlight, born of Mother Guinevere, the boy shall be recognized among the Children of Eros. Though his existence defies the natural order, Eros sees fit to make an exception to the rule, for in such deviations, balance may be found.

"Aeric of Starlight is to be treated with respect and dignity, as a true Son of Eros. He shall not be cast out, insulted, or disgraced, for he bears the bloodline of the divine. And in this, the barriers erected by Mother Guinevere must be lowered. Erothyria shall be united once more, free from the divisions of fear and protection."

Aeric's eyes narrowed with disbelief as murmurs spread in the courtroom. 'Wait. Does this mean that I've been accepted by Eros himself?!'
