After a long journey, Valin, Asta, and Yuno finally arrived at the capital of Clover Kingdom. The crowds here were lively and noisy, a scene that brought life to the city.
Valin sighed in relief after walking for many months and hearing Asta's daily shouts. "We finally reached our destination," Valin thought to himself. After checking in at the capital, he heard a voice:

Benefits:
1. Ability to locate legendary treasures, rare herbs, and rare creatures.
2. Reveal unexplored areas and deadly dangers.
A screen appeared before Valin as if it were a game, displaying a detailed map of Clover Kingdom and the roads leading to it. There were blue dots representing living creatures with a low danger level. However, what caught his attention were the many red dots representing dangers. One of the large red dots had some black coloring in it.
Valin said to himself, "This is a really good map, but the red dots represent the leaders and their subordinates. But what is this big dot? Is it the Magic Emperor?"
However, Valin didn't pay much attention; instead, he focused on the golden dot on the map. "A golden color means a treasure. It seems I'm very lucky on my first day in the capital; there's a treasure!"
He decided to head towards it, but first, he needed to get a room in a hotel.
In the streets of the capital, there were various shops selling all kinds of magical staffs and props. However, the prices were high. Eventually, Valin, Asta, and Yuno found a place to stay. Asta and Yuno decided to rest after the long journey, while Valin went out to look for the treasure indicated on the map.
As Valin wandered through the market, he bought a black cloak and a black mask to hide himself from view. After walking for an hour, he reached a shop in a dark alley. The store appeared suspicious due to its dark location, but Valin didn't care, even if it was the depths of hell itself; he was going to get what he wanted.
Valin entered the shop, and a bell rang as he opened the door. The place was an old library, with an old woman sitting behind the reception desk. Valin wandered among the shelves, where he was drawn to several books about magic. He bought a book about magic and then turned to his main goal: an old book that seemed unremarkable.
When he opened it, he read the title: "The Dark Age." Valin was shocked; he didn't expect to find something about this age so quickly. He approached the old woman, saying, "Madam, I want these two books. How much are they?"
The old woman looked at Valin, then at the two books and said, "Five gold coins."
Valin paid the price and left. However, he didn't know that the old woman mumbled something incomprehensible. "The Gluttony has returned, and history will reveal whether this world is ready for his return."
The next day, the competition began!
"Bang Bang Bang"
Fireworks bloomed in the sky without stopping, signaling the upcoming exam for the Knight's Medal.
A large crowd gathered at the entrance of the examination hall, some came to cheer on the competitors.
"Come to the admission exam!" "The future of the capital is in your hands!" "You are all buds of the four-leaf clover kingdom! Let's go!"
Valin entered directly. There were many long lines inside. He shook his head and looked around; this was the time to reveal the spellbook.
After his book was tested, the official said, "Okay, you are number 264, next."
Valin nodded and entered. The huge hall was filled with other competitors who had also come to take the entrance exam.
Suddenly, a flock of birds flew overhead. This was part of the opening ceremony of the exam, as the mana of the competitors attracted the birds whenever it was weak.
"Look, there's not a single bird around him!" said a man, pointing to Yuno, who held the four-leaf clover spellbook.
"What? Is that true?"
"In fact, that's what the guy who tested the spellbook just said."
Suddenly, another voice rang out: "Look, there's another person who doesn't have a single bird around him!"
Everyone looked with curiosity at Valin.
