Chapter 1 - chapter one: beginning

I run at the battle field charging into battle slaying enemy's then I let out a war cry "CHARGE" but all of a sudden I hear wake up! I slow opened my eyes and saw my sister she was yelling at me to wake up "Your going to be late for school" it was all a dream I am chen a 18 year old highschooler today is the awakening day and if I missed it I could never become a warrior. I got at of bed I ran to school hoping I wasn't going to be late. 8:29 I arrived just on time I started to caught my breath and then started to slowly sneak into the awakening ceremony chen! It's your turn I looked around it was my classmate. As I made my way to the awakening ceremony, my heart was pounding in my chest. The dream from earlier—charging into battle, wielding a sword, roaring with power—felt so vivid, so real. I could still taste the adrenaline. But now, I had to focus. Today wasn't just any day; it was the Awakening Day, the one day where every 18-year-old had their potential revealed, where we could unlock our true powers and become warriors—or not.I was barely able to catch my breath as I slipped into the ceremony hall. The room was filled with my classmates, all anxiously waiting for their turns. I stood at the back, trying to blend in, but I was still on edge. If I missed my chance, I'd never get the opportunity again.

"Chen!" My name rang out, and I froze. I looked up and saw my classmate, Kai, standing at the front, holding a clipboard. He was already in his warrior gear, looking like he had it all together, like he knew he was destined for greatness.

"You're up," Kai said with a smirk, though there was a hint of nervousness in his eyes."Me?" I asked, suddenly feeling the weight of the room on my shoulders. The whole school was watching, their eyes burning with expectation.

"Yes, you." He waved his hand impatiently. "Get up there before you miss your chance."

I stood up, legs slightly shaky. My mind raced, thinking about everything I had heard about this ceremony. Some people unlocked their Elemental powers, others had incredible combat abilities. But what if I didn't awaken anything? What if I was just… normal?Taking a deep breath, I walked to the front. The ceremony leader, Master Wren, a seasoned warrior with a stern look, beckoned me forward. His eyes seemed to pierce through me, judging, measuring.

"Chen," Master Wren said, his voice like gravel, "Are you ready?"

I swallowed, trying to ignore the doubt creeping into my mind. I nodded."Place your hand on the stone," Master Wren instructed, motioning to the glowing orb at the center of the room. It pulsed with a faint light, as if it held the power of the world inside it. The moment I touched it, I felt a jolt of energy surge through my arm. For a split second, it felt like everything around me froze.

I could hear the whispers in the room, the murmurs of my classmates, waiting for the verdict.

I closed my eyes and let out a steady breath. This was it.The stone hummed louder, and a bright light enveloped me, blinding everyone in the room.

"Chen's Awakening has begun," Master Wren's voice echoed.

I didn't know what was happening, but I could feel something stirring within me. This wasn't just a test of strength or skill—it was something deeper. Something primal.

The light began to dim, and I could feel the energy fading, leaving me with only a lingering sense of power. My heart raced, but now… now I knew. Something had awakened inside me, but what?I opened my eyes, trying to steady myself. The room was silent. The ceremony leader and my classmates were staring at me.

What had I unlocked?
