The local radio station mostly plays folk music and what they call "adult alternative," but you jog the DJ's memory when you mention Linus. Linus Harrowman died three years ago. Bored and happy to talk, the DJ puts on a really long Flaming Lips deep cut and tells you a few stories about Linus—cool guy, he says. And he knows Elton Dey, who he says used to date a girl who interned at the station.
"What happened to her?" you ask.
"Died a few years back."
"Exactly how long—" you start to ask, but he's still reminiscing.
"Shame," the DJ says. "She was cute. Eco freak though, totally into, like, Greenpeace stuff. I think they moved in together right on Main Street, actually. Next to the burrito place. They were part of that…Big Brook team? No, Broad Brook Sect. But it wasn't a cult, I don't think. Man, I haven't thought about that in years! Weird how…you just forget…"
The DJ drifts back to his laptop. He's aggressively stoned, but what he's telling you seems important. You already know about the Broad Brook "sect"—werewolves use the term "Sept" for large groups of Garou, multiple packs in the same area that guard a caern.
