Xavier guided the hover car toward the docking station before he tapped the comms panel. "Tower, this is vehicle X-937 requesting landing clearance."
A crackle of static, then a bored voice. "X-937, proceed to bay 14. Follow the guide lights."
"Copy that," Xavier said.
He eased the car down, following a series of blinking lights until he reached the designated bay. The landing was smooth, barely a bump as the vehicle settled onto the platform.
Xavier climbed out, stretching his arms above his head, and glanced at Roman and Hank, still slouched in their seats.
"Hey," he called to a nearby droid. "Get these two to medical. And be careful with the big guy - he bites."
The droid beeped an affirmative and began extracting the injured men from the car. Xavier watched for a moment, then headed for the facility's main entrance.
