Nakamura turned. "Will? Are you the one that..."
"Sure did. You didn't think I'm smart enough to catch you, did you?"
"The Countess said you were good. Now, I know why."
"Cut the crap, doc," Will said, stepping closer. "What I don't get is why you sold out your clan. I know it's not about the money. It's something else."
"Does it really matter at this point? You're going to kill me either way."
"Maybe," Gwen said. "We're still deciding."
Nakamura's gaze darted between them. "You don't understand. Jean-Claude, he—"
"Save it," Gwen cut him off. "We heard your call. You're no victim here."
"Start talking, doc," Will said. "Why'd you betrayed the clan?"
Nakamura's hand inched towards his pocket when Gwen's katana flashed, slicing through the air mere centimeters from his fingers. He jerked back, stumbling against the railing.
