Gwen crouched behind the crumbling wall, scanning the empty streets. She tapped her comms and said, "I'm here. Where's the location?"
Will's voice crackled through the device. "Banque Nationale de Paris. 8th arrondissement, near the Champs-Élysées."
"Got it."
When a mech is nearby, Gwen pressed herself against the wall and held her breath as it passed. Sometimes, she would move so fast that even the mech's advanced sensors couldn't catch her as she ran in front of them like a ghost. She wasn't taking chances. Not now when they have the chance.
She glanced at the darkening sky and said to herself that time was running out. The werewolves would soon come, and Kazuo's life hung in the balance. She can probably fight a few of of those beasts, but if its an army? That's something she's not equip to handle even if she's a vampire. The werewolves have insane regeneration abilities, far better than her race.
