A soothing warmth came over me and I could feel the injury's on my face heal up almost instantly. It was as if I was suddenly full of energy again and I was sure I was a bit stronger.

Oh not bad!
All my stats went up by two points and I have 4 stat point that I can use. Three of them were my reward from the quest, so that means I only get one bonus stat point for leveling up.
Only 10 skill points though. Truthfully I'm a bit disappointed, this means I won't be able to get any new skills until I'm level 10, and I still don't know how to level up any of the skills I do have.
Figuring this out should be my priority, since I can't get any new skills, the level of the skills I do have will be the deciding factor of my next battle.
I should also work out exactly how much MP I use when I use my shadow magic. I can feel that it isn't too much, but without knowing the exact number I might end up running out halfway through a battle and that will only end in my death.
First let's use my free stat points. I think I'll use two on agility, bringing my agility to 6.
Haha I am no longer the slow poke I once was. With triple the agility I had before, I am three times as fast! My body allready feels lighter and I haven't even moved yet!
Next I use the other two stat points on intelligence bring it up to eight. One point of intelligence equals 5 MP so now my MP is 40. I want to try practicing my shadow magic more to see if I can get it to level up. This was how you upgraded your skills in adventure simulator, so this is going to be the first method I try to upgrade my skills here. I just need to find a safe place to practice, I don't want to spend all my MP practicing just to be attacked.
After my battle with the moss rat I realised I need to be more cautious. A lot of things in this world might seem game like but it's definitely not a game.
Finished looking at my starts I close my status and look at the moss rats dead body.
I really don't want to eat this.
I've already had one bite and frankly it was disgusting. The meat was incredibly hard and chewy, and the only way I can describe the taste is that it tasted like dirt. It was incredibly gritty with practically zero fat. Even the blood tasted bitter!
But I don't know when I'll get my next meal, or what it could possible be. I might end up finding another moss rat and then I'll be in the exact same situation as I'm in now. Honestly I am a bit hungry and whilst I don't kow when my next meal will be, I'll take whatever I can get.
Eating the rest of the rat, I try imagining I'm eating chicken. It's really not working, the dirty taste in my mouth is constantly reminding me that I'm eating a rodent.
I finish eating all the meat of the bones leaving all the innards, I simply can't bring myself to eat them. I know I'm a fox now and a fox would eat them but I was a human in my past life you know! I can't help but still have the mind set of a human!
I decide move the innards out of the carcass, I do this because in a lot of web novels I read monsters tended to drop magic crystals. Now I don't know if a moss rat is classified as a monster here on Cronus, or if that's even such things as magic crystals but it doesn't hurt to check.
I was right! Located right next to the heart I found a tiny little pink crystal, but now that I have found it I have absolutely no idea what I should do with it.
I pick it up and put it in my mouth to see if anything happens but nothing does, it doesn't dissolve or anything and I don't want to swallow it because it is rock hard with a few little sharp points. I can only imagine the damage it could cause inside me.
Not having anyway to carry it and no place to store it I decide to just leave it, the moss rat was only a low level creature, so I doubt the crystal will be worth much anyways.
Finished dealing with the crystal, I wash my face off in the stream. Now I need to find a safe place to spend the night, it's getting kind of late and I don't know what dangers I could face if I'm still roaming the forest arfter dark.
But before that I need to decide whether I should request another quest or not. Completing quest is the best way to improve my strength, but if I get a quest with a short time limit I might have to try and compete it through out the night, which will likely just end up with me dying.
If I knew more about the system, then I wouldn't be worried, but I don't, and now's not the time for me to be experimenting. The last penalty for failure was death so I'm not willing to risk taking a quest now. I can do that in the morning once I feel safer.
For now I need to find somewhere to rest, should I head back towards the pond or not? It felt relatively safe there and there where a few thick bushes I can proberly hide in for the night.
I think this is probably my best option, I can explore a bit more tomorrow.
Having decided, I start travelling back down stream towards the pond. It took me an about an hour and a half to get to where I am from the pond earlier but now I'm three times quicker, it should only take me about half an hour.
