MORGANA
After I heard the woman, Xavier was going to marry, talk about their engagement, my heart kept breaking, over and over again.
Why did he make me confused? Sometimes, he'll act like he wants me, other times, he'll act like he doesn't even know me. I was hoping that when I told him about leaving the Palace he would do something, anything at all but he couldn't even give me a reason why I should stay.
I stared blankly at the ceiling, sleep refusing to come to me. He was going to get engaged and there was nothing going I could do to help it. Xavier was slipping out of my hands and I didn't know if I was supposed to be fighting for him since I didn't even know how and what he felt for me.
When I finally fell asleep, I had a very cold dream which I couldn't understand. In the dream, an old woman stood beside me. I didn't know where I was but I knew I was surrounded by beautiful trees and flowers, I looked around and it wasn't a familiar place. The soft earth beneath me whispered secrets to me, as I walked into the forest.
This world was different from the one, I knew. Time stood still and there was no suffering or pain here. I wanted to stay but the old woman who looked like a fairy wouldn't let me stay. Her skin was sift and wrinkled like they could be peeled off from her body. Her hair was made of silver locks that descended down her back.
"Your gift is one needed to stop the affliction in the werewolf world. You are wanted, don't be afraid." The old woman said.
I didn't understand a word she was saying. She talked about a gift that I had and was to be careful not to loose it by being careless.
"Who are you and what do you mean?" I asked her, shivering.
"I am the one that would lead you whenever you needed me, don't give up, Luna. Don't give up." She said to me and before I could figure out what was happening, she disappeared, leaving no trace of her.
When I woke up, I was literally sweating all over and the AC was on, too. It was very unusual for me to have dreams like this. Of course, this wasn't my first ever dream seeing weird and unusual things but this was the first that had a warning to it.
I sat up on the bed, throwing my bed covers away as I racked my brain to understand what the woman was saying. It was my first time of seeing her in my dreams but her warnings were still fresh in my head.
It was morning already and I wanted to speak to Elijah about moving in to his place. He had made that offer to me, at first I tried to say no but he encouraged me to do so. I decided to go with him when I saw so many opportunities outside the Palace. I could actually get a job and start a new life for myself too.
I decided to take the offer. My plans was to stay at his place for two weeks and then find a place of my own. Thinking about this reminded me of the injury Elijah had which had miraculously disappeared when I touched him.
I found out that I had healing powers when I was still at Moonstone Park with Alpha Logan. Unfortunately, my healing powers couldn't be used for my own healing so everything I get bashed or beaten by Alpha Logan, I waited, hoping the injuries would heal.
I couldn't tell Alpha Logan or Nina about my gift or anyone else since I was sure they would exploit it while exploiting me too. It was just too difficult being an Omega at that Palace. I took a deep breathe as I got up from the bed to wash my face.
I changed into something more presentable as I wanted to speak to Xavier about Elijah. I didn't get to take Elijah's cell phone number, the last time so I was hoping Xavier would give it to me. I knew it was a dumb reason to see Xavier after what happened between us yesterday but part of me hoped we could talk and decide to stand together.
At this point, I was using Elijah as an excuse to go see Xavier and that was terrible of me. As I approached his office, I heard loud scream coming from there. I waited to know if I could hear what was going on.
"Are you cheating on me, Xavier? Who is she?" I heard a soft voice that was now obviously angry shout at someone.
Who is she? I wondered.
"Listen to me, Jessie.. Nothing like that happened."
I then heard Xavier, trying to explain something to the woman, whom I supposed was his fiancée but she didn't stop screaming at him. I heard him call her "Jessie" last night. I stopped waking even though I was just few steps away from his closed office.
I thought of going back to my room and coming back when things were settled, perhaps but I couldn't help myself. I could barely hear Xavier's voice while the woman's voice was at the highest. She was not letting him speak.
But was Xavier being accused of cheating? With who?
I was totally confused and thrown off with my thoughts, I also wanted to know what was happening as well so I barged into the office. I met with the angry face of the woman whom I believed was Jessie and the confused but innocent face of Xavier.
"Xavier, what's wrong?" I asked, feeling like a hero who just saved a little boy but the feeling only lasted for a second.
"What? Why is she calling you by your name? Is she the one? The one you cheated with on me? Is she the reason why you don't plan on going through with the wedding plans?"
I was still staring in confusion when the angry woman approached me and gave me a resounding slap.
