💧💧THEME: Cow Dung💧💧

Blue's POV

"The air was filled with romance, the stars in the skies were endless, and I was in Wilder's arms, both of us staring at the beautiful lit-up skies. Everything was just so perfect and right, that I didn't know when I confessed my feelings to him."

"What? You confessed? How? What did you say?" Sarah asked rapidly, with much interest.

"I said the three words." I nearly choked on my words, as the memories of last night sneaked its way into my head.

Sarah gasped in shock, while Rose stared at both of us, confused... "What are the three words, and why is it shocking she said them?" She asked, staring at Sarah.

"You don't know the famous three words?" Sarah asked her, now more shocked that Rose had no idea what my words meant.

"If I knew it, I would not be asking." Rose rolled her eyes, frowning upon the fact that Sarah now sees her as a lesser knowledgeable person.

"I told the king that I love him." I said, clearing the air for Rose.

"Awwwn, that's a good thing. That is wonderful!" Rose exclaimed, unable to see the look of terror on my face.

"No! No! No! That is not a good thing, it is the most horrific thing to ever happen, since the world was created." Sarah voiced, shaking her head in disappointment, for me. Yeah, I should have known better than to confess my feelings to Wilder.

"Why are you being so overly dramatic? What is wrong if the queen tells the king, the man that is her husband, that she's in-love with him?" Rose stared at Sarah pointedly.

"It is wrong, because a woman should never make the first move. A man should, but not a woman. But our lovely queen here, has always been a person to say her mind without thinking. Now, look what you have done!" She shakes her head, even more disappointed now.

Yeah, I just had to have this really cool personality of going for whatever I want. "Ohh Sarah, what do I do now?" I cried out, placing my face in my palm.

She rushed over to me and patted me lightly on my back.

"Nothing, you don't have to do anything. There's nothing wrong with being honest with your feelings." Rose declared, coming over to the bed, sitting down beside me, so I was sandwiched between Sarah and her.

"You have never dated before?" Sarah asked Rose, all of a sudden.

"How... how do you know that?" Rose asked with wide eyes.

"Because it's obvious, you think love is honest, and this is the obvious misconception of people who have never been in a relationship."

"What? Love is honesty, of course," Rose defended.

"No darling, love is not honesty. Love is a lot of things, but not honesty. Love is telling lies so that the one you love won't be hurt. Love is leaving the one you love, so they will be happy. Love is learning all of his interests, and hiding yours... so he will fall in love with the new-found character you have created. Love is—"

"I think that's enough, Sarah."

Sarah had a crush on one of the guards at the temple. And even though she was being honest with her feelings, he saw her as being too forward.

"Sorry." She apologized.

"Well... I still stand by the fact that Blue confessing her feelings is nothing but a good thing." Rose remarked, blinking back her shocked look.

"It would be a good thing, only based on the king's reaction." Sarah glared at Rose, then she turned to stare at me, "what did the king say, after your little confession?"

I stood up from the bed, my heart heavy. "In his own very words, he said... 'it is getting late, we should head back to the palace."

"No, he didn't!" Sarah exclaimed, standing up on her feet.

I nodded slowly, my eyes downcast. "Yes he did."

"Maybe he was just being honestly worried... I mean—"

"No he wasn't. She clearly told him her feelings, all he had to do was say it back!" Sarah fired, cutting Rose off.

"Then maybe you should ask him why he didn't say—"

"Don't you dare finish those words of yours, Rose. You want her to ask the king why he didn't respond to her confession, when he just actively ignored it. What sort of humiliation do you seek to bestow upon her?"

Rose raised her hands up in surrender, "fine! Since you know everything about romance, what do you suggest should be the Queen's next move?"

"Simple, we stuff the king up with so much love, he confesses that he is also in love with her." Sarah answered, grinning from ear to ear.

"Sarah, you are such a genius. But how do I make it happen? How do I get the king to fall in love with me? How do I stuff him up with so much love?"

"I heard the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. Perhaps you should cook for him." Rose suggested.

"Uhm, Blue has never cooked in her life before. I am pretty sure she would burn the kitchen down." Sarah uttered, her face scrunched up... as if imagining the things I could do to the kitchen.

"Then I should be glad I have both of you, and the entire kitchen crew to help me out." I smiled at both of them, happily. "To the kitchen!"

**********

After three hours of painstakingly trying to get a simple meal together for Wilder, I was finally able to put together something, and of course... with the help of Sarah and Rosemary.

I can gladly say that I didn't burn down the kitchen, but I did turn it upside down.

"Are you sure you don't want us tasting the food?" Rose asked for like the sixth time.

"No, the food is specially made for the king, so he alone gets to taste this delicacy I have prepared." I remarked, watching the maids set the table patiently.

"Everything is well set. Now, go get the king." I instructed one of the maids, and she bowed before exiting the dining room.

I sat down on my chair, and waited. It didn't take long for the king's presence to be announced.

"You are here first, my queen," Wilder said, sitting down.

"I just got here too." I replied him, opening the plate of food that had already been served before.

I watched from the side of my eyes, as Wilder uncovered his plate of food. "Looks interesting." He murmured to himself, and I smiled... he just said the food I cooked for him is interesting.

Wilder picked up his spoon and I watched as he scooped up a portion of soup, and I imagined how I would tell him after he was done eating, that his queen had made the delicious food he had just eaten.

Of course, he would be surprised but have no other choice, but to fall for me.

"What in the world is this! Who cooked this food?!" He yelled, spitting the soup out in an instant.

I blinked my eyes, as I pondered on the possibility of me hearing wrongly. Probably, he said... 'this food is so delicious' and not whatever I think I heard.

"This is trash! HOW DARE ANYONE COOK THIS POISON FOR THE KING AND QUEEN TO EAT! DO YOU PLAN TO MURDER US!!" Wilder thundered, his anger directed at Rose and Sarah, who were visibly shaking at the sound of his voice.

Poison? He called my food, the one I took hours to prepare.... Poison?? I couldn't contain my feelings anymore, so I slammed the table out of extreme rage. "The food isn't that bad!" I seethed between my teeth.

"You haven't tasted it yet, Blue. It is very bad. Don't even try to eat it. You will definitely puke. This is the worst food I have ever eaten in my entire life. It tastes exactly like cow's dung!"

"COW'S DUNG!" I yelled in shock.

"Yes, I bet even cow's dung would even taste better."

Oh my goodness, this is the worst insult I have ever received in my life and, ironically, it just had to come from him!

I watched Rose quickly move closer to him, probably trying to explain to him that I was the one who prepared the food. Before she could say anything, Wilder flared up even worse.

"You know what, go ahead, and lock up who ever prepared this. I would have that person executed, because they had just committed treason!"

"But...we can't... we can't... lock up the... the queen." Rose stammered, trembling under his fierce gaze.

"What? The... the queen." He blinked rapidly, staring at Rose with a lot of intensity.

"Yes... yes your highness."

Wilder let out a laugh, visibly in disbelief. "Why would the queen cook? She... she has no reason to do so." He laughed again, staring at Rose with concentrated intensity, as if begging her to retract her words.

"Maybe because she just wanted to do something nice for the king, who is a total asshole!" I raised my voice, my eyes glaring daggers at his firm back.

He turned around slowly, a nervous smile on his lips.

"You know, on second thought. The taste of the food is unique. I didn't mean poison, I meant its taste is uniquely out of this world." He scratched the back of his head, sitting down and picking up his spoon.

"You lying mutt! You know what— you don't deserve to eat my food... I dragged his plate of food away, then picked up a spoon... "You really shouldn't do that." Wilder warned, as he watched me scoop up a bit of soup.

Ignoring his warnings, I tasted the food.

Shit!

I grabbed the jug of water next to me, and I hastily drank the water, using it to get rid of the bad taste. "You were wrong, Wilder. I had rather be poisoned than eat this." I let out, bursting into a fit of laughter, and he joined me.

"I should never try cooking, ever again." I said, the moment the laughter died down.

"The food might not have tasted good, as you wanted it too. But I do appreciate it, thank you… Blue." He beamed at me with love, or probably it was I, who saw it as love.

I mean- what if the reason why Wilder didn't respond to my declaration of love was because he didn't love me?

"You didn't say it back." I blurted out, before I could even rethink.

"Huh?"

"Yesterday, I confessed my feelings to you sincerely. I said, I love you. And you did not reply."

He avoided my gaze, as if trying to come up with an excuse for his lack of response.

But the moment he opened his mouth to speak, a guard walked in... "your majesty." The guard greeted, bowing.

"Speak." Wilder said.

"I have a message from King Lucian, king of the crescent moon pack."

I stood up abruptly, "King Lucian?" I asked, to be sure I heard right.

"Yes, my queen." He responded, stretching out a letter to me.

I took the letter from the guard, and tore it open.

'Blue, this is your father, Lucian Greymark. Your mother and I, are right outside the gates of Nightshade Pack. Come get us.'

I didn't need the stamp at the bottom of the letter to confirm the letter was indeed from my father. She could already tell by the straightforward letter that had already done that.

"What's wrong?" Wilder asked.

"My parents, the King and Queen of the Crescent Moon Pack. Well... they are here."

"I forgive them and they left...I feel empty ' blue said shaking.

"No.....you have me and I love you BLUE FLAME'. "I LOVE YOU TOO WILDER '
