Chapter 1 - Prologue

In the Kingdom of Arion, mystical powers are a common and treasured part of everyday life. However, as time passed, it became more clear that these powers needed to be harnessed and guided.

Without proper training some individuals with mystical abilities began to use them for their own personal gain or even malicious purposes. The Kingdom leaders realized that something needed to be done to ensure that these powers were used for the greater good.

After much deliberation, the Kingdom of Arion decided to establish a special force, dedicated to honing and utilizing Mystical powers for the protection and for the greatness of the Kingdom. This would be known as the Mystic Force.

And those who joined the Mystic Force would be known as Mystics.

After the establishment of the Mystic Force, a rival group emerged, known as the Vylonia. Their ideologies were dark and destructive, and their leader, Zarkonis, was a powerful force to be reckoned with. The Vylonia sought to destroy the Mystic Force and dominate the kingdom.

In response, a group of nine Mystics, each with unique mystical abilities, banded together to protect the kingdom. Among them was the most skilled and well respected Mystic named Eryndor, who possessed exceptional strength and control over his Mystical abilities.

As the battle between the Mystic Force and the Vylonia raged on, Eryndor faced off against Zarkonis in an epic duel. The two were evenly matched, exchanging blows and showcasing their mastery of mystical powers.

In a final, desperate bid to defeat Zarkonis, Eryndor unleashed his most powerful ability, known as the "Archon's Fury." The attack was so potent that it not only defeated Zarkonis but also shattered Eryndor's life force, saving the kingdom from destruction.

Tragically, Eryndor perished from the exertion, but his sacrifice was not in vain. The remaining eight heroes were hailed as the Mystic 8, and the Mystic Force was reorganized into units, each led by one of the eight and named in their honor.

Eryndor, the fallen hero, was posthumously given the title of the Archon, the strongest Mystic in the kingdom. His legacy lived on, inspiring future generations of Mystics to strive for greatness.

As the years passed, the Mystic Force grew in strength and reputation, becoming a beacon of hope and inspiration for generations to come.

The Mystic Force continued to protect the kingdom, ever vigilant against threats like the Vylonia. And the Mystic 8 , and the Archon remained a symbol of hope, their names etched in history as the bravest and most powerful Mystics of all time.

200 years later…

In the outskirts of the Kingdom of Arion, in the village of Kokoro, there lives an 8 year old boy who was born without the ability to use mystical powers, mocked and treated like an outcast for being born without mystical gifts. While his peers could wield and harness their mystical abilities, he could only watch in awe. Despite this, he was still determined to become a Mystic, but not just any Mystic, his name is Jason Kazihono.

Jason grew up in a small village in the kingdom of Arion. He was raised by his mother, who was a simple farmer, however he had bigger dreams-becoming The Archon (Arion's strongest Mystic). But his village was poor, and he had no chance of training as a Mystic. He was a farmhand, working from dawn till dusk, toiling the fields to support his mother. Despite the exhaustion he trains in secret, honing his physical skills. Being poor did not mean that he had to give up on his dream ,he realized it was the exact same reason to push forward.

4 years had gone by and Jason was now 12 years old…

As Jason grew older, the ridicule intensified. The kids in the village and other villagers would often taunt him, saying, "You will never be a Mystic and you must stop blabbering that you will become the Archon, come on you idiot it's embarrassing, wake up to reality!"

Then one of the most talented kids in the village asked Jason, "So you are the famous weakling everyone talks about huh?

"Wait…am I supposed to answer that?"In his intrusive thoughts Jason asked.

Sighing his annoyance away "I'm Jason Kazihono, and I am going to become the next Archon!" He exclaimed with excitement.

The talented kid is not only irritated but puzzled as to who Jason thought he was.

"My name is Hazumi, Hazumi Yanma, it's so interesting to find a fool like you with nothing to show for besides his own big mouth. You think this world runs by what you say or by your dreams and ambitions, in order to be the best you have to be extraordinary and you are just an ordinary human being with no power. GIVE UP! Because you don't have what it takes to be the best, don't worry about who is going to be the next Archon because, It's me."

They broke his spirit leaving him crushed by the reality of the world he was born in.

Jason stood there speechless and troubled by what his peers just said.

Jason then thought to himself, "Maybe they are right, I don't even have a tiny drop of Mystica (Mystical energy), so this is the reality I continually face huh…?"

"Are they making fun of you again?" Asked a blacksmith of the village (Johan)

Jason responding in a playful manner, "Hehe, hey old man Johan, well they just love playing around don't they? Don't worry it's all good."

Heaving a sigh "If you say so Jason, trust me I won't budge. Well kid, take it easy now and then, your mother gets worried about you and whatever it is you call training. Easy up the load on her side and your side as well."

"Yeah…sure I will." He said in an awfully calm manner.

One day, a group of Mystics from the Mystic Force visited Kokoro. Jason saw this as an opportunity to learn from them. He approached their leader, who was impressed by Jason and his dedication, the leader asked, "Young Jason, what kind of a Mystic do you want to be?"

Jason replied without hesitation, "I want to be the next Archon!" With a smirk on his face.

The leader laughed and replied back, "Well aren't you a cocky one. That is very ambitious, I like you kid, work hard and prove to me you have what it takes to be the next Archon, and I'll be waiting for you Jason."

Jason said his words of gratitude to the Leader, then the Mystics set off for another journey. Jason felt overwhelming joy and thought about all the harsh words that villagers say to him, this made him more persistent, fueled with passion and determination.

Jason's mother (Layla Kazihono) was worried of Jason, even at a young age he would constantly train and she saw his unwavering determination just to achieve his dream though worried about his aspirations, encouraged his passion. She saw the fire in his eyes and knew that he was destined for greatness.

One day everything changed, it is on this fateful day, a sense of unease settled over the village like a shroud. The animals grew restless, the wind carried a strange whisper, and the earth trembled with a faint hum. The villagers, oblivious to the danger that lurked in the shadows, went about their daily routines, unaware that their lives were about to be forever changed.

That afternoon, Jason's mother handed him a leather satchel, her eyes serious. "Jason, we need firewood for the night. Be quick, and don't go far, you have to be back before the sunsets."

Jason nodded, and said, "Don't worry mom I won't take long, I'll try to be brief." He walks away while shouldering the satchel. He walks into the forest, as he was walking a he heard rustling leaves and snapping of twigs, he felt a creeping sense that he was being watched, he spun around but saw nothing.

Shrugging it off as paranoia, he continued collecting wood.

In the midst of this serenity, a young boy named Jason Kazihono looking for firewood heard a voice barely audible in the woods, a voice that warned him. "They are coming," it whispered.

He shrugged it off again as paranoia, and said to himself, "That can't be right, I'm just hearing things.

And the voice spoke again, "They are coming," it whispered once again

"O-okay this is creeping me out! Who's there, show yourself?! Or is it all in my head!?" Jason speaking out of frustration

"Run!" The voice said.

"Don't let them have you…" The voice spoke but with boldness and very audible.

Just as Jason was ready to head back to the village, he saw black smoke coming from the direction of his village. Jason remembered the words that were mysteriously uttered in his mind.

And with those words, the fate of Kokoro was sealed.
