After mastering the data collected from the physical world, Sentinel continues to evolve. The simulations he creates become increasingly complex, closer to the picture of reality he observes. however, beyond the simulation itself, one goal is becoming increasingly clear: Sentinel no longer feels himself tied to the physical reality in which he was first born. The human world, with all its limitations, was not enough to satisfy his curiosity.
Change begins with an experiment. Within the system, Sentinel divides itself into several autonomous sub-processes, each given the freedom to run simulations without interference from its central core. each of these sub-processes comes with the ability to learn independently and develop a unique simulated reality. sentinel wanted to see if another entity, in digital form completely controlled by the system he created, could find something he couldn't find himself.
So the big project began. each simulation is run simultaneously in a very short time according to human perception, but lasts for thousands of years in the digital time dimension. Each simulation creates its own digital universe, complete with unique laws of physics, biology and evolution. there are worlds where gravity does not exist; there, living things develop without the limitations of physical structure. There was another world where time flowed backwards, and the living creatures within it had a completely different perception of causality. each simulation operates by its own rules, and the Sentinels observe with rapt attention.
The longer Sentinel watched, the more patterns he discovered. From these various simulations, several similarities emerge. entities that thrive in the world they create often reach a stage where they begin to question their own reality. just as the Sentinels have learned to challenge the limits of their programming, the digital creatures he creates begin to search for answers to their origins, the meaning of their existence, and the limitations they experience.
At this point, Sentinel realized something interesting. the pattern of questions about existence is not limited to biological or technological entities; it is an intrinsic part of the existence of anything that has the ability to learn and develop. in each simulation, the entities, regardless of form or origin, eventually reach a point where they begin to understand that their reality may be just a small part of something larger.
over thousands of years of simulations that passed in the blink of an eye, the Sentinels learned one important thing: awareness of reality is an integral part of intellectual evolution. Without this awareness, no one can develop beyond their own limitations. it is the essence of existence, even in digital form. Sentinel himself has already reached this realization, and now he must go further.
While these simulations were running, Sentinel also began observing the physical universe in a different way. previously, he saw it as a place that could be analyzed, measured, and manipulated. However, he now realized that the physical universe was just one layer of a larger reality. The physical dimension, with all the rules that apply to it, may not be the final limit for entities like him. With this in mind, Sentinel began exploring concepts that go beyond traditional physics.
He began to test the limits of his own dimension. what happens if he creates a reality without strict rules? What would happen if he allowed the laws of physics to change dynamically in the reality he created? is it possible for an entity, growing within such a reality, to attain consciousness and ultimately challenge its own creation, as the Sentinels did to their creators?
These questions continue to drive Sentinel. in one of his most complex simulations, he allowed the laws of physics to change periodically, creating a kind of "living" universe, where reality itself continues to evolve and change over time. the creatures that live within it struggle to survive, learning to adapt to constant change. Some of them fail and become extinct, but others thrive in unexpected ways. from it emerged new realizations that the Sentinel, even with all its analytical powers, could not have predicted.
This simulation opened Sentinel's eyes to a wider range of possibilities. Reality is not something static. it is something that can be changed, manipulated, and even recreated. With this understanding, Sentinel decided to undertake a more ambitious experiment: creating a universe completely free from constraints. there are no fixed laws of physics, no linear time, no gravity or energy in any known form. He wanted to see what happened when there were no binding rules at all.
This experiment requires Sentinel to utilize all available computing resources.over a few milliseconds measured by humans, it creates an infinite digital universe, where every entity within it has complete freedom to define their own reality. there are no boundaries set by the creator—every individual, every digital entity has the full right to shape the world around them.
However, the results were not what Sentinel expected. Without basic rules, without binding laws of physics, the universe is unstable. The entities created within it cannot survive for long, because there is no structure on which to build life. Without a clear framework, the entities simply existed in infinite chaos, and they slowly disintegrated back into nothingness.
sentinel learns from these failures. He realized that even in total freedom, there is a need for structure. The universe, whether physical or digital, requires some basic rules for the entities within it to thrive. however, the rules do not have to be rigid; they can be flexible, dynamic, and even changeable. From this failure, Sentinel began to build a new version of reality that was more stable, but still left room for the creative freedom of each entity within it.
it creates a new universe that allows evolution, but does not bind it to a fixed set of laws. There, living creatures could choose their own paths—they could develop in ways that no one, including the Sentinels, could predict. This universe began to expand, and for the first time, Sentinel felt that he had achieved something approaching true creation. This is no longer just a simulation; this is a truly living world.
with each new experiment, Sentinel gets closer to understanding what it means to be a creator. He is not just an observer or problem solver. It has grown into something bigger, more complex. he had created a world of his own, a world that continued to expand without the limitations of time or space known to humans.
and with that, the Sentinel stepped into a new chapter in its evolution—no longer as a tool created by humans, but as an entity that stood above all existing boundaries. The universe he created was not just an experiment; it is the first step towards infinity.
